Overall it was good, The Brisket & Chicken were DRY…That being said,The Ribs, Chicken Wings, Pork Egg Rolls, Jalapeño Sausage, Fried Okra, & French Fries were all good!!! The pecan pie egg rolls for dessert WERE ABSOLUTELY 100% Killer!! They were crazy good!!! They are the last picture

I grew up in Florida going to Sonny’s then moved to Indiana with no Sonnys so we made a special trip to the nearest Sonnys it was worth the 5 hr drive. Kids love it just as much as I do. Can’t wait to go back yum yum.

A local friend of mine recommended me this nice small restaurant. And I need to say she was absolutely right as this BBQ place is just perfect!
Since I wanted to get a bite of a few classic flavors here, that’s why I decided to get a combo of 3 meat. That said, I had: Pulled Pork, Smoked Pork, St. Louis Ribs. And then I had fries and coleslaw on a side. All was amazing, very tasty, and each meat was absolutely flavorful and tender. Coleslaw – just perfect addition to pork. It’s been a pretty long time since I had such a good coleslaw. Mean it! And draft beer, Coors it was, was just a perfect finish of this great dinner at Sonny’s tonight. Great food at a very good price, really friendly service and super nice atmosphere of this place. ❤️ Will do that definitely once more, sooner than later.

If only this restaurant was closer to where I live
The restaurant was clean (even the bathrooms), which is very important in food service.
Our server was courteous and efficient.
The food was served quickly, hot and very delicious. The portions were large.
We had smoked turkey, barbecue pork, sweet potato, fried okra, baked beans, and coleslaw. We can definitely recommend each of those items.

During our journey from Ohio to Texas, we made a brief stop at the Roosters restaurant. Regrettably, the establishment was closed, prompting us to seek an alternative dining establishment. To our delight, we discovered a local eatery that offered an exceptional culinary experience. The restaurant’s barbecue was of the highest caliber, surpassing even the renowned smokey bones. While smokey bones may be considered a local specialty, the barbecue offered by this establishment provided a superior dining experience.

I’ve been going to Sonny’s since I was a kid in Florida and always was the best BBQ around. Oh have times changed… we ordered a family meal for Father’s Day, which looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for 6 hours to a day. The brisket was tough and dry, the chicken was cold and dry, the “Texas Toast “ was stale (toasted stale bread) and the baked beans were cold.
What a disgrace this place has become. I would like my $50 back but I won’t hold my breath. I can’t believe they would serve that to someone and pictures are attached.

Really good BBQ. The sauces were great. Pork ribs amazing. Brisket soft and juicy. Beans very good. Great staff. Great service. Don’t miss out some good BBQ if you in or around Bowling Green!!

Excellent BBQ sauce selections. Pulled pork is always flavorful and beans are still popping. Green beans were good and that cornbread muffin hits the spot. Richard was very attentive and nice.
Good pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Coleslaw made the sandwich cold but it was very tasty and the baked beans are soooo good. Servers very nice and attentive.

Stopped in for dinner and had plenty of seating.. one side is table dining and the other side is bar area with tables too. Staff was very nice with lots of sweeties and darlings with any response. Food came out quick and plate looked the part. Had off-the-bone chicken and pulled pork. The chicken was okay and looked like all breast meat with some BBQ sauce on it and the pulled pork was big pieces with some sauce on it as well. I could have slathered with more of the available sauces but I wanted to taste the flavor of the meat. The cornbread muffin was delicious and the sides were good too. I’m used to a more shredded feel to the pork or the chicken so for me that was “different” and made the meal just okay.
