This meal was one of my most memorable of the year. We sat at the chef’s counter, which allows you to see the chef in action. There is also a communal table in the center of the dining room and an enclosed patio area. The place was packed on a Saturday night and the energy was buzzing. We were there at prime dinner time so the wait times were long(ish) but totally worth it. We loved the wine selection and creative cocktails. We had the pork belly and octopus to start, the grilled bavette steak and scallops as entrees. My only regret is not getting dessert. The pork belly is a must! This restaurant is a hidden gem. I almost don’t want to review it!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this Italian-Asian fusion restaurant. We started with oysters from Great Peconic Bay, then a delicious Japanese eggplant starter. My husband enjoyed seafood linguini, and I had the special house made spaghetti with a giant meatball accompanied by an excellent Pinot Noir. Topped off the meal with a scoop of wild berry ice cream with blueberry sauce on a Belgian waffle. Great food and friendly, helpful service.

Amazing experience at Foster’s!
Outstanding food, an incredibly talented chef, and a warm, attentive staff. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. A true gem in Seacliff—highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

The octopus showed up in bits and pieces with a random assortment of potatoes and vegetables, and was horrid. Nothing like the what it looked like in the menu. The bone marrow was FANTASTIC and looked just like in the menu. I find myself pondering how some dishes were just plated so well and tasted amazing… while others… not so much. Hanger steak was good. My advice: 3 adults & 1 child = 500 dollars with tip. GO ELSEWHERE. They even had the audacity to nickel and dime us by charging us $10 for bread.

We love going to Foster—at this point, you could say we’re regulars. We typically sit at the bar. We especially love their specials, and I’m still thinking about the elk burger I had last year (please bring it back!).The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Recently, I’ve been loving the salmon with corn and shishito succotash and blueberry teriyaki. Honestly, everything is consistently fresh and delicious.
John, the bartender, makes excellent cocktails—many with fun names like Silence of the Lambrusco. He puts a lot of care into his craft, from house-infused ingredients to thoughtful presentation. He also always keeps you hydrated with their house water, which I truly appreciate.
Happy hour is a great deal and is available at the bar only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00–7:00 pm, and all night on Mondays. We love ordering the wood-fired Margherita pizza and fried chicken wings for $12.36, along with their house margarita at $10.30—delicious and affordable.
When we do get a table, the service is always spot on.
We feel lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in our neighborhood.

I’m super impressed by this place because the owners a husband and wife team and the husband is the chef and his wife is managing production. It’ll. Let me tell you the food was fantastic. My wife’s trying to eat a Mediterranean diet and went with a roasted chicken. She said it was 10 out of 10, but I had one of the best meals ever. It was a special of baby lamb chops four delicious lamb chops over risotto. I cannot recommend this place enough. Outstanding service and the bartender is a real good guy

Food was excellent top to bottom. Not a bad thing on the menu but I recommend you he gambas al ajillo and either of the fried chicken dishes. You can tell this chef cares about his craft and puts thought into the little things. Our waiter knew the whole menu and was absolutely awesome to interact with. First visit and would definitely come back

James the waiter is great. Friendly and professional. And he got the music turned down so we could hear ourselves think.
Bartender could use some training. He was not personable at all. Nor was the female manager. We stood near the kitchen and no one talked to us for 10 minutes.
Food was excellent. Bread is so good even at $10. Oddly priced. And expensive. And LOUD. James was the magic person who got the boomer soundtrack turned down to a level which we could have a conversation.
Lots of large parties. Sit outside if noise bothers you.

Everything was amazing from the appetizers to the dessert, just delicious! We started with Elk Bolognse and an hot house oyster app, so good we wanted more, on to a grilled onion & guyere burger. To end the evening had Banana Foster with boozy ice cream. We enjoyed every bit of our evening!
