I love hole-in-the-wall spots, but this place was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The food was painfully bland, especially for the prices they’re charging. Portions are fine, I guess, but flavor-wise it felt like chewing cardboard and washing it down with tap water. Zero seasoning.
The service somehow managed to be even worse. I was treated like an inconvenience for simply being there, and the vibe was straight-up hostile. It was very clear I wasn’t welcome, unless you fit a very specific look. Uncomfortable, off-putting, and gross.
Save your money, save your taste buds, and spend it somewhere that actually values customers and knows how to season food.

Nice little joint on 601 north of downtown Monroe. Very friendly staff. Had breakfast which was great and something about having coffee is a styrofoam cup was awesome. Cash only which has an ATM, will be back to check out dinner menu.

Searched for nice burger spot. Found that they serve them all the way as a default. I’m a country boy at heart so I liked that. Pulled up to a small place right off 601. Walked in and was amazed by the vintage decor. This is the kind of place I frequented growing up in the Carolinas. Felt like home. Was greeted by a wonderful waitress, she was very polite. Ordered a cheese burger all the way, onion rings, and a cherry Pepsi. Food came out in about 7 minutes. Took it home and devoured it. Way better than a smash burger from the modern burger spots. Would definitely recommend and visit next time I come through Monroe. Thank you

The Okra tasted like they had picked it from the backyard and fried it. And my double burger was absolutely phenomenal. If I’m ever driving through that part of the country side again I will be returning.
