When I say I’ve found soul food in Huntsville, I’m not just talking about comfort… I mean Seoul food, the kind that takes you straight back to Korea. Haru Korean is that hidden gem, a hole-in-the-wall spot you might overlook until that first plate lands on your table. Fresh ingredients, no frills, just pure, authentic flavors that took me back to Seoul. Having just moved from Colorado, I’ve been on a mission to find real Korean cuisine. And here it is simple, no fancy lights, just the kind of taste that reminds me why “I love Korea”. Best Korean spot I’ve found in Huntsville… and trust me, I’ll be back!

Had a lovely experience here. We came towards the end of the day so we didn’t get all the side dishes (they’re made fresh each morning so it’s first come, first serve), and that was explained to us before we sat down.
We went with noodles and got a side of dumplings to share. The dumplings were delicious. The skin was not overly thick, pan-fried crispy on the outside and had a nice springy texture when chewed. Filling had a nice mellow flavor, dipping sauce had a nice tang.
We enjoyed our noodle dishes. I would have liked mine to be spicier but it is probably at a good level for most. I would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely yummy food and wonderful people! This is an authentic family owned business. Everything we ordered was wonderful straight down to the accompanying sides. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired yet the food and service make up for it.

Solid place for Korean so if you got a craving for Asian it’s fine to go to. The food is solid, relatively healthy, and not expensive.

I’ve had lots of Korean food, someone recommended I try this place. Something special happening here..just the simple things. It’s not huge portions of food but you don’t leave feeling heavy. Service was excellent and food came out fast and it was fresh and hot. I got the spicy pork and dumplings and both were really good. Don’t take my word for it come see for yourself! Later foodies

I used to go to Shinsegae over on Jordan Lane and haven’t found a Korean Restaurant that is similar since they closed during COVID. Haru is even better! This family run business feels like the small mom and pop place I used to go to in Seoul.
My visit was on a freezing day in North Alabama and I got the Beef Stone Bowl Bibimbap (Hot Pot) and it was magnificent. The rice was perfect with the crisp layer against the bowl, all the vegetables were fresh, and the meat was plentiful.
Service was attentive but not clingy even as the restaurant filled quickly around us.

Haru is a no frills, family ran restaurant that serves legit Korean dishes. The flavors are authentic and evident in every dish, especially their delicious jjamppong (seafood noodles).

Simple family style restaurant. Food is delicious. Don’t arrive too late though or you might not get to eat. We came around 7pm one evening and found it closed already.

The most authentic Korean food in Huntsville! The flavors are just like what you’d find in Korea rich, well balanced, and made with care. The side dishes are always fresh and plentiful, and every dish feels homemade. If you’re looking for real Korean comfort food, this is the place to go!
