As always, a 10/10 experience
The food is just exceptional, each menu – which changes monthly – prepared with great care. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable! It really adds to the experience.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to, including in Japan. It blends unpretentious Portuguese hospitality, the best fresh fish in the world and Japanese knowhow. The casual omakase lunch I was served last Saturday is still impressed in my memory, a brilliantly executed harmony of tuna cuts, red shrimp, scallops, white fish… all served over small rice bits… cured to perfection. Pickles and dessert were also delicate, as were the wines served by the owner (proudly and rightly from the wonderful Portuguese wine regions). Well done, we will be back!

Absolutely fantastic. Best sushi I have had in Lisbon, and very likely the best I have had in my life. Everything was incredible. And the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back again. The space is small and intimate. But very comfortable. I don’t know what else to say. I left on a sushi high.

Our fav Japanese restaurant in the country. Chef Paulo does an excellent job connecting local fisheries & farmers to deliver an authentic Japanese cuisine with local touches. We’ve always learn something new about a unique type of leaf or fruit or vegetable. And the fish / seafood is always impeccable.

We’ve been there several times and it is always a pleasant surprise and the menu changes every month, truly leveraging seasonal ingredients.

We particularly loved the winter menu with the warm dishes finished on the counter like sukiyaki (we missed the shabu shabu in December though!), and we just went back yesterday (early spring) and really enjoyed this month’s combinations. Their sashimi & nigiri are consistently the best. Worth the visit!

20 out of 10 highly recommend!!! Chef Paulo is a sushi master and the skill in which he presents his craft is impeccable. An absolute explosion of flavors that were accompanied by the perfect pairings of sake and fortified wines. I will definitely be back sir. Obrigado!!!

It was an amazing experience!

Everything was very fresh and delicious. Big variety of fish. The Portuguese Chef with experience from Japan was very attentive and kind. I would definitely come back.

Interesting and maybe important to know before going is that Chef doesn’t serve salmon (mainly because “it can be contaminated with various bacteria and our focus is on local fish”). Important if your kids only eat salmon. We didn’t miss salmon so much, due to a big variety of fish.

Always important to reserve, for dinner you need to reserve around 2 months in advance, while for lunch you can be lucky and get a spot within 2-3 days.

Really recommend this place.

A truly amazing experience with the most friendly service from Paulo and Hugo. We had the nine course with drinks (150 EUR per person) and every dish astounded us. The sashimi and sushi was fresh, leveraging local seafood where possible (including sea urchin). One dish focused on tomatoes and every piece was unique and spectacular. Well worth the cost and if nine dishes is too much, go for the five course which others were having. A recognition as well to Pauli’s daughter who folds the tiniest origami cranes I have ever seen.

The BEST Omakase experience! The food was thoughtfully prepared and made. Chef and staff were attentive, playful and so kind. What I appreciate the most about this experience was how unpretentious it was and everyone was just enjoying VERY INCREDIBLE food in a relaxed setting. We had the sashimi and sushi omakase dinner menu, looking forward to try the other menus in future. Highly recommend!
