Great place to grab some seafood while in Staunton. The shecrab soup was excellent in particular. Our entrees were also very good, the Lobster Roll and Blu Po Boy. Would definitely repeat next time we are in town.

Came in from out of town and chose this restaurant for my 15 year wedding anniversary. Good menu and good service, our waitress was friendly and told us about the best coffee shops in town. Then came the food. Our appetizer never came. The side of potatoes was cold and we ordered the lava cake with white chocolate inside. The lava cake lacked the lava. Just a hard chunk of white chocolate. Would not recommend for a $200 bill.

Highly recommend for a nice dinner in town

Visited on a Saturday night. They had live music, which i really enjoyed

Service: our waitress was wonderful. Friendly and attentive

Food: from the hush puppies to the tuna steak and chicken pot pie, it was all very good…. no fan of the state/local taxes though. Almost as bad as Canada, but I know it’s not the restaurants fault.

Came here for 2026 Valentines. Staff sat us in an over crowded event space/performance area in back that was clearly set up as overflow to book more reservations.

The whole vibe of this place is much more casual than their menu suggests. That’s not horrible, but we expected a different caliber of service & ambience

It took our first drinks 25 mins to get to the table. When their signature cocktail I ordered wasn’t my style, I ordered my usual from a different food server and received it in two minutes. Pretty sure we were forgotten for a hot 25 mins.

The ambiance was lacking in this back area. There was a stage with a talk show set / living room set on it, ESPN was playing on a huge pull down screen above the stage, and a small room screen trying to conceal the much larger stage behind it.

The food wasn’t bad, but I think our expectations were higher for the price

This is a MUST visit in Staunton. Excellent and Very Fresh Seafood dishes. They also have meat and Veggie dishes. Sup nice service, really great drinks and an overall way cool vibe. I will absolutely recommend and I will certainly return. I had the Blackened Catfish over Rice and Beans. I don’t eat fish. I DO now………….Wow, it was all there. Just enough spice, but not over the top and grilled to perfection.

We used to love this place but it seems to have really gone downhill. Went in for dinner yesterday and were barely acknowledged at the bar. Took too long to even ask us for drink orders despite the bartender stopping to char with what seemed like regulars beside us. We planned to order dinner and my husband asked about the specials, and the bartender could only bother telling us half of them before just walking away. At that point we decided to just finish our drinks and go elsewhere for dinner, but even once we’d put the menus aside, we had time to finish our drinks completely before anyone bothered to come back and ask if we wanted anything. It wasn’t even that busy; we were before the Saturday dinner rush. Overall the attitude from the entire staff felt like they had no desire to be there. Service used to be great. Don’t intend to come back unless things drastically improve.

Amazing service and atmosphere. The food was mostly delicious. But overseasoning has ruined the taste. Also, I feel like bacon (meat) addings to the seafood soup must be mentioned in menu.

Visited Blu Point Seafood Co. and found the atmosphere to be very pleasant, spacious, clean, and inviting. We arrived a bit after lunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly, as it wasn’t very crowded.

Starters:
– Calamari: This dish was a standout. The calamari was fried perfectly, with a well-seasoned batter that added a delightful crunch. Definitely a must-order.

Mains:
– New England Fish n Chips: The haddock was delicious! Super meaty and fried to perfection. However, the coleslaw was a bit basic and lacked the crunch I usually enjoy. The fries were just regular fries, not the chip-style I expected, especially after a recent trip to England. Despite these minor points, the dish was filling and satisfying.
– Lobster Roll (Connecticut style):We visited on Lobster Day, so we had to try the lobster roll. For those who don’t know, lobster rolls are served two ways: Maine (cold) and Connecticut (warm). Ours was served warm, with perfectly cooked lobster on nicely toasted and buttered bread. It was a highlight of the meal.

Drinks:
– I tried two mocktails (unfortunately, I forgot their names). They were both delicious, though a bit too sweet for my taste. I’ll opt for something different next time.

Overall Experience:
The entire meal, including tip, came to around $80, which I found reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Blu Point Seafood Co. is a great spot for seafood lovers, and I’ll definitely be returning when I’m in the area. Best seafood I’ve had so far around.

The atmosphere and service are excellent. The food was just not great. The grilled haddock sandwich was saturated in grease, to the point that it was difficult to eat. The crab cake sandwich was good, but the sandwich was soggy. The Tuna was overcooked, and the dish was plain. The appetizers were amazing!
