I had some store credit for the pizza that was made improperly (which was also frustrating because the breadsticks weren’t right either..). Since there is no option to pay via store credit I called the store.
Someone eventually picked up, sounding irritated, and told me to call back in ~10-15 min since they had other customers in the store and they were the only one there. Alright, fair enough.
Since I’m currently working, and had been on my break when I called, I had to take extra time out of my shift to call back a couple times.
The second time I called, the phone continued to ring and eventually either disconnected on its own or someone hung up.
I waited a handful more minutes then tried calling again. Seemed like the same person picked up and they sounded exasperated, annoyed, irritated, all of the things. I get it. Customer service, making food, prepping orders, and everything involved with that is a lot, but that’s not a reason to be snappy with someone calling in
Due to these reasons I no longer wanted to order or do business with this store so I told her I just want to cancel my order i made earlier. She chose to hang up on me.
I gave myself a few minutes before finally calling back one last time, selecting the manager option. She picked up again, sounding much calmer, but I did still let her know I wanted to cancel my order. I asked her if she was the one I spoke to just a few minutes ago and had hung up on me. She said she thought I was done talking. ….Right. Because when someone says they want to cancel an order and you don’t ask for a name, number, what they ordered, or something in order to find the order.. means it’s been magically cancelled.
Just been a poor experience and I don’t foresee myself ever ordering, at least from this location, ever again. I’d rather not chance getting an extra ingredient, or more, in the food.
I really didn’t want to make a review but then I opened the box for the breadsticks and just.. come on, y’all. First, their deals page has the option for 2 for $1 sauces.. but it wasn’t working (sauces page shows up as blank). I called before I placed my order and asked if they would honor that, which she said they don’t offer it. Fair enough.
Second, their drive through is closed. Also annoying because it’s freezing outside. Also fine, fair enough.
Counter person was nice, was quick in picking up, saw she checked the sauces which was also nice since they’ve messed that up in the past as well.
Got home, got into the pizza first. I’m sorry but in what world is that double, let alone “extra” ham & onions? So, that’s ridiculous.
The sauce is almost non-existent and the pizza barely qualifies as cut.
The worst of this all though are the breadsticks, and that was what got me to write this. That is the absolute poorest excuse for garlic parm breadsticks I’ve EVER seen.
The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because of good experiences in the past, and I’m going to see about getting a refund for all of this because that just was a complete and utter disappointment for this evening.
Edit: they’re making it right and are going to get me a remake at a later date.
SIDE NOTE: he agreed to resend the pizza’s out & said it would be a hour , which we were okay with. When we called back we were on hold & HE LIED ABOUT SENDING A NEW ORDER.
Called customer service twice the first time they tried to call the manager and no answer from the store. The second customer service was going to take this to the GM over the stores. I paid over $30 for this type of service and food, not worth it. Sad because Papa Johns was my choice when ordering, it will NOT be when I am in Richmond now!
(I usually tip cash but not this time) I tried to call the store but the woman who answered told me she couldn’t help me and put me on hold for 20 minutes and the call disconnected. After that I tried calling a couple times but they kept disconnecting my call. I was also missing the extra sauces I paid for. Don’t ever order from this store. Horrible experience.
