I was disappointed with my experience at Bonchon Chicken today. The wings weren’t as crispy as expected, which is usually the highlight of Bonchon’s chicken. I also specifically requested only wings for the 20-count order, but it came with more drumsticks than wings. Overall, the quality and attention to the order didn’t meet expectations.

Extremely small portion for that price, especially since it’s not full service restaurant.
Menu also states “served with coleslaw on side” which is just a small bite or two lol
Hopefully they fix portion size or price because this definitely won’t work long term otherwise.
On a positive note- the little food that did come in this order tasted great but definitely not enough if you came in hungry.

The chicken was decent, but not as good as I would’ve expected for the price. The size was at least good.
The seasoned fries were, in my opinion, way too overseasoned.
Got a donut as well, which was a little doughy and undercooked.

We just ate lunch here it was our first time here, loved it so much. I couldn’t wait to get to the truck and write a review for them. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are extremely clean as well. The staff were nice and helpful. The food was AMAZING! Genuinely impressed. We got the Pork Potstickers coated in Korean BBQ, pickled radish, steamed rice, wings with spicy sauce, chicken strips with sweet & spicy sauce. All the food was hot, super crispy and so much flavor. I hope more customers come in and try it because it is a new place. I will definitely be back.

I got this delivered for the first time, all the way to orangevale and it still crispy (it’s double fried) and it was fantastic! I got the Korean BBQ and the yangnyeom sauces, and omg they were delicious! And the chicken itself was tender and juicy and had a generous amount of meat! This is going on my list to order a often as I can and try all the other sauces!

Food is ok, but nothing special or premium about the food. It is ridiculously overpriced for the very small portions you get.
Theres no reason to spend this much money here, all the alternatives throughout Sac who have similar food that’s just as good and better charge less and have bigger portions for the lower price.

Food is excellent. I ordered the sampler (which was $37 after tax and supposedly servers 2-3 people), but had no problem finishing it myself. This was generally the theme with the group I went with. Most people ordered two items (bringing their total to $25+) expecting to have a big lunch because it was opening day, but everyone left feeling normally full. Those who only got one thing left hungry. Again, food tasted great but portion sizes need to go up or prices need to come down.

Food is so good! Chicken is super crunchy and bursting with flavor. Lots of items on the menu. The atmosphere is nice, sleek, modern and clean. Service is good, they clean up after you and ask if you need anything. Love this place!

Bonchon did not meet my expectations. When you spend $25 to $40+ on a single meal, you expect to leave fully satisfied. However, the portion sizes are ridiculously small for the price. The food is also decent. Not gourmet, not bad, just lingering somewhere in the middle. As another review mentioned, portion sizes need to go up, and prices need to go down here. I was very disappointed when I was still as hungry as before an hour after eating here.
