Ordered the Number 5 Braised Beef Stew Noodle Soup (Clear Soup) and Number 7 Braised Beef Handmade Noodles with Preserved Sauce. The Number 5 was a nice stew with rich beef flavor and a very bouncy noodle. These noodles had a lot of chewiness to them and were made very long. The beef in this soup was so tender and soft to chew apart. This is a great option to look for something warm. The Number 7 was also a great option with the same tenderness in number 5 about the beef. The spice here was not problematic; it enhances the flavor onto the noodles which also remain quite chewy. My only general complaint would be that the serving bowls seem ridiculously large for the serving that was given in each item. Surely, you could use smaller bowls that are less cumbersome, less to carry, and more visually appealing. When you’re finished, you can organize and leave your dishes where they are as they have staff to clean up the shared spaces. Parking validation is available here.

We didn’t know what to expect as we were walking around. Reminds me a bit of hawker center in Singapore but more diverse. Read online reviews and sounded promising so we tried top 1 and top 3 from the menu. After placing the order, I realized that I wanted both to be spicy so I went back and asked it to be level 5 spicy. The guy at the counter was shocked and asked me a few times if I’m sure. I said yes, we actually like spicy food. I’m so glad I did!!! Both were spicy, yet still very flavorful! Even writing this and remembering how it tasted makes my tongue watering and gulping. It was absolutely delicious! The guy on the counter may be loud (kinda have to to call out your number), but he was fun and friendly and easy to talk to. He even gave us extra sauce (super delicious!) Definitely recommend others to try this place and we will come back when we’re in the area!

The food was ok but nothing that would warrant a 4+ star. The noodles were soggy considering they were dry noodles. And the spice level was subdued. Left a lot to be desired.

Love the vibe of the farmers market though.

I am from Korean and I received racist service from the worker who was also Asian. It was 40 minutes before closing. I was ready to order but he ignored eye contact and was organizing other stuff. I said “can we order please” and he responded with “I know I know…” I then ordered for to-go but changed to “for here” and he said “okay. Don’t change it again. That’s it.” Right after a white lady ordered and he had the biggest smile and kind voice. I was shocked.

Next I got the order and the dish requires for me to choose 3 toppings. I asked for bokchoy as there were 4 pieces left. He looked at me, the line, and the bokchoy while grabbing and ungrabbing with tongs. He bluntly said with complaint “There’s no more left. Have other vegetable over here.” Out of confusion I asked “there’s some left?” So he gave me 1..wow so I said “there’s more left. We paid for this. Can we have more?” Full of complaint, he gave me 2 more….the audacity. I felt very offended and discriminated. But the food was good.

One of the best meals I’ve had at The Grove Farmers Market. This Shaanxi noodle place is the real deal, authentic taste, rich flavor, and seriously addictive. You can tell it’s made with care. Five stars, no question.

My go-to noodle spot at the Farmer’s Market, always have to stop by on the way home from work 🙂 highly recommend the #8 stir-fried lamb handmade noodle in cumin sauce and can’t go wrong with the #6 three toppings noodle. I usually go for a level 3 spice level.

Everything tastes delicious and the staff is always so friendly ! ✨

I’m from Xi’an, and this is the most authentic Xi’an-style noodle place I’ve found in LA. The noodles are absolutely delicious — especially the Youpo noodles! The chili is fragrant, the noodles are flavorful, and it really tastes just like home. I can’t wait to come back and try the other noodles on the menu next time!

Loved the fresh hand-pulled noodles, super springy and flavorful! The spicy beef noodle soup hit the spot, and the portions are generous. It’s a great spot for a quick bite while exploring the market. Just a heads-up: some dishes can be a bit oily, and seating gets tight during busy hours. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re craving solid Chinese comfort food.
