The people here are amazing! I got a little lost on my way to a family get together. It was late and dark and blowing snow. I saw the open sign and went in to see if they had wifi since I didn’t have cell signal to load a map. They gave me the wifi, pulled out an actual map to show me the route I needed to take and gave me a beverage on the house. These are the people you want to find in that situation. I cannot praise them enough!! If you are ever in the neighborhood make this one of your stops!!

I got yelled at for bringing a motor bike into the small parking lot. What the hell.

This place is fantastic. It has so much character, the owner, Rich, is a great guy, and the food is great. If you’re passing through, be sure you don’t miss this little gem

Passed through one morning while on a cross-America Bicycle Tour. We stopped in form breakfast on an epic day where we pedaled from Musselshell to Miles City, 128 miles. We needed to fuel up and the Melstone was just the place!
The Melstone became our favorite place on the trip. Rich, the owner is the friendliest person ever. My omelet was the BEST I’ve ever had–ever. It was huge. My buddy’s pancake, just one, had to be 20″ in diameter.
We went from being strangers walking in to having a great time with the local cowboys in for breakfast, coffee and talk.
As we were leaving, Rich asked us where we were headed that day. We said Miles City. Rich said “Thats 117 miles! Can I make you some PBJs for the road?” That kind of friendliness and kindness is not forgotten. I hope everyone who reads this stops in to see Rich at the Melstone.

Great people with even better food, prices weren’t bad either. It’s the only place to eat for an hour in either direction. TEXAS APPROVED!!!
