The Spot welcomes everyone with open arms and hosts a variety of events. There are multiple opportunities to catch a live music performance both during the week and on weekends. For more popular events like drag shows, spaghetti dinner, etc. it can get quiet crowded and overwhelming. Times like that I wish they would sell limited tickets to the event so that the experience can be more enjoyable. I absolutely adore our local drag scene, but The Spot is just not big enough to host such a large crowd. Besides the crowds for popular events, The Spot is a cozy place to grab a beer and catch up with friends.

If you have a tree nut allergy beware. The mozzarella sticks come with a sauce made with walnuts. Sent me to the emergency room. It is labeled on the menu but near the bottom and in my opinion not as obvious as it should be for something unexpected to come with simple mozzarella sticks. Who would expect tree nuts to be in a mozzarella stick dish, consider switching to safer option like marinara.

Great atmosphere, and good drinks for a good price. They have seasonal cocktails with lots of spaces. There are multiple seating areas for different vibes- the bar area with high top and regular table seating, a stage area with tables, as well as an outdoor space with picnic tables as well as typical tables and chairs. Great place for sitting outside on a nice day.

Weird, quarky, and classic…This is everything I want in a classic dive bar. One of the best kept secrets in Lafayette. They have great drink prices, and a killer back patio with firepit. I’ve been here for shows and hangs. It never disappoints.

What makes this bar great are its customers— probably the only dive bar in Lafayette where there’s some diversity. They’re queer friendly, have fun bartenders and staff (shoutout Bowie and Mike), and have pretty inexpensive drinks. It isn’t the cleanest of bars and I’ve never felt like getting food there because of it. The outdoor area has a fireplace which can be cool, especially late at night.

Localish dive bar with localish crowd, but not the “there every Friday after work” kind of local. More like the guy that drinks Pabst because it want cool and then it wasn’t so now he’s going to drink it again. In other words, bring friends, don’t find them.
Decent bar and good live music.
But overall, there are better dives in the area if that’s what you’re looking for and better pretend dives if you want to upscale.

The spot is very unique, and so cool!
The decor is really unusual with so many different things to look at.
The best I think is the backyard or the outside area with two fire pits inside a privacy fence.
You go out there and you can sit outside and everybody comes out there and sits by the fire and talk and meet people.
Atmosphere is great I didn’t get the chance to eat food, that I was told by many people that the food is excellent there, and I am going to have to try it.
Food and drink, I noticed, were a little bit on the pricey side, but it must be well worth it, or people wouldn’t come back.
There seems to be a lot of people that do come back.
I definitely would recommend, “The Spot” to everyone!!!!
