Have yet to have a sub par meal here. Every dish has been excellent: the fish sandwich is some of the best in town: simple, flavorful, plentiful. Their fries are very good, always ask for their specials! I love the Cobb and Buffalo chicken salads. Service is very nice and friendly. Small place, only 10 tables inside, a few in their patio and maybe 8 seats at the bar. Limited parking also. This is a local spot and I hope it remains so.

Cute place on Oakland Park Blvd. We have visited the one off Federal for lunch many times and tried this location for dinner. Quaint dining room and very friendly staff in a comfortable environment. We went early and there was no wait. He tried the daily special and it was half rack and chicken wings and he had taken some left overs. Give them a try!

Great place to hang out for a light bite, a drink and app at the bar, or a heavier delicious meal, whatever you choose. The wraps are great, the salmon and vegetables are delicious, and the sweet potato fries were cooked up perfectly. Our server, Grace, was excellent too! Even the outdoor seating area in the middle of a hot day wasn’t so bad with several strong fans keeping us cool. Can’t wait to go back.

We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and prompt. We have several favorites that we usually get, but today we decided to try the burger for the first time. We were not disappointed. It checked every box. Tender, juicy, flavorful. If you like it big – this is your place. The portions are so huge. My pork chop platter came with two yes two pork chops. The restaurant is easy to pass on Oakland Park Blvd but the food really is done well. My asparagus had a cheese sauce and my pork chops were well seasoned. Servers were delightful and you can dine inside or make use of the outdoor seating. Outside can be a bit loud with all the traffic. I would definitely return and boys this place has an inclusive feel.

I had been driving past this place for many years and today my friend Amy suggested we go for lunch. I was thrilled, but not that hungry since I had a late breakfast. My bad! The place is tiny but adorable. Clean, a great atmosphere & decor – quaint but not over crowded. The service was just astonishing, they really kept an eye on us. Unfortunately, I could only share a plate of wings and sweet potato fries. The wings were tasty and fresh. The sauce was perfect, although the blue cheese dip seemed more like ranch. The sweet potato fries were so tasty – big thick cuts so you could actually taste the sweet potato goodness. I’m sorry I wasn’t hungrier but I look forward to going back when I am. OH, and the prices are very very very reasonable.

It’s the sister company of MJ Cafe. Some of the same dishes as the cafe. I had the shrimp quesadilla, it said spinach It was minuscule but I believe it wasn’t frozen, fresh. , but the quesadilla was delicious it was delicate it had plenty of shrimp.. another had the veggies wrap came w/ one side he choose , FF , which looked real good, plus the was a BLT, had lots of bacon on Baguette, w/ a side Brussel sprouts w/ pistachio, G had the double pork chops w/ a cherry sauce looked very good came w/ 2 side. Sevice was great. It has a small bar about 8-9 bar stools , p,us there’s outside seating.

If you love comfort food such as fried chicken in white gravy this is your place. What will took me about this place was size of the portions. Most of the main dishes like the chicken fried steak and the pork chops were presented with such generous portions a single dish really could make two meals. Based on some of the tables around me I believe many were taking the second portion “to go”.
While it was comfort food, it was done right. The chicken was crispy, not greasy and had a pleasant crunch. The Mason Jar offers some real vegetables beyond the fried and empty nutrient sides you often order (although they have those too) such as broccoli. There is outside seating, the only downside is that it is steps from Oakland Park Blvd which is a major thoroughfare so you will be eating with revved engines and gas exhaust. Severs were super nice which made tipping a pleasure.
