Don’t miss this dining experience when in Hobart. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is very friendly and pleasant. I had the special which was spaghetti (gluten free-free) with mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce. My husband had the Carbonara. Both hot and delicious. The desert- Tiramisu was outstanding. We highly recommend.

The vegetarian lasagna is the best thing you’ll eat!!
It was super tasty.
The other food was ok too. But definitely order the lasagna.

Some staff issues which was ok but they later told us they were all hungover…. So maybe management needs to look into that
We had to ask for napkins, water and more drinks etc.
Staff were nice though, just not on the ball.

Having lived in Hobart my entire life and dined extensively across its restaurant scene, I can say without hesitation that Fellini is among the finest dining experiences this city has to offer. In fact, I remain genuinely surprised that it doesn’t already hold a 5-star rating. If you find yourself in Hobart, this is a restaurant you simply must experience. From the moment I was seated, Fellini exceeded every expectation. The evening began with the M4 Wagyu Carpaccio, followed by the Abbacchio all’Amarone and a beautifully executed pasta dish. Each plate showcased remarkable depth, balance, and craftsmanship. I finished with their tiramisu, which was the perfect conclusion to a truly exceptional meal. I won’t comment on my companion’s selections, as his review will speak for itself, but both of us left deeply impressed.

The ambience was outstanding: warm, vibrant, and authentically Italian without feeling forced. The room was filled with satisfied guests, and the gentle backdrop of Italian music elevated the atmosphere even further. A particular mention must go to Shane, whos hospitality was nothing short of world-class. His professionalism, humility, and genuine care set a standard rarely seen. The entire team was attentive, polished, and contributed to an experience that felt almost beyond value.

While our total came to just over $350, the quality of the food, service, and environment made it entirely worthwhile. The wine list is exceptional, offering a sophisticated range to complement the menu. If there were an option to rate Fellini six stars, I would do so without hesitation. It is a true Hobart gem a restaurant that not only meets expectations but surpasses them with ease. A sincere toast to the chef for delivering dishes of such high calibre.

We can’t thank the Fellini team enough for looking after our football reunion. Hosting a group of 20+ is never easy, but everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. The staff were organised, friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was well looked after. The food was absolutely delicious, served promptly, and the drinks flowed all night. The atmosphere was perfect for catching up and celebrating together. A fantastic venue that went above and beyond. Highly recommend for both group events and casual dining. Thank you Shane and Team.

It’s a decent place, it’s no where near fantastic, but it’s a nice dining area (…apart from some random overgrown house plants that the waitress staff have to slap away), the food is good enough and the price is about right though slightly more than what it’s worth.

The service is not very well oiled, the main man was pleasant but doesn’t really fit the environment in white plimsoles shoes when everyone else is dressed in all black. The staff are really nice and attentive, but not enough of them. (This was a Saturday).

The food was lacking seasoning, the arancini was incredibly bland – tasted like it was from the freezer. The pasta sauce was watery. We left most of the food, and a few others around us did the same.

All in all, I wouldn’t go back, but I’m not that disappointed, as in terms of food it only cost ~$90.

** our starter plates weren’t super clean which was our first sign of a clear lack of care.

We had a beyond-expectation evening here with Shane as our host. The food was par excellence and service impeccable. It felt like coming to our long lost family’s dinner with Uncle Shane making sure you are alright.

Its more than a restaurant – its a place where one can be nourished with good food and hospitality.

Sadly the food was not on par with the carefully & creatively decorated restaurant. Every dish we had was a let down and gave the impression the kitchen staff desperately need an opportunity to taste real Italian food.

Staff were very friendly which helped to compensate however charging per bottle of almost flat un-carbonated “sparkling“ water that was out of a tap is completely not on these days and left us vowing not to take a second chance…

The mozzarella was a tasty highlight to distract from otherwise awkward dishes & worth pointing out that the rigatoni would almost pass as “al dente” if the rest of the dish had been at all well balanced. Not all Hobart tourists are one time visitors but it felt like this place was setup to trick you once!

What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy excellent Italian cuisine. Our host was attentive, supported by enthusiastic staff. We visited twice, the first time on Saturday 28/2 (Arancini Napolerana, Vegetarian Pizza and Italian traditional Tiramisu) and then Tuesday 3/3 (Arancini Napoletana, Apparelled Ossobuco Ragu and Cheesecake). The second visit was our anniversary and a simple but meaningful recognition on the chessecake plate was unexpected. Thank you to Shane and the team at Fellini for adding to our special occasion. We certainly recommend a visit for good food, a happy ambience and awesome attention.

Dinner for 2, we were recommended the spaghetti vongole, which we ordered and found a tad underwhelming in comparison to its west aussie counterpart. We did request a customised mushroom truffle to accompany the pasta instead of the risotto. Best invention since the wheel!

Shane was lovely.

Sophisticated yet inviting. We booked at short notice and received a warm welcome, fabulous Italian cuisine and the finest selection of both Italian and local wines. The service provided from the knowledgeable staff was first class.
Could not fault. Thank you Shane and co for a truly memorable evening
