We didn’t like the food. I can’t believe the reviews. The greens are salty, cinnamon in cornbread, the chicken fried steak is battered fried meatloaf. It was sooo bad. We all have different taste buds and opinions of good soul food. I PASS!

Stopped and got dinner there for tonight. Down home soul food. I ended up getting some apple bread pudding with a bourbon glaze. I can’t even eat all of it, because I want my better half to taste it. They are in Hot springs Arkansas, and I am going to save it till I get to Lawrenceburg Kentucky. I want to call him tomorrow and tell him to cook me a whole pan of it and overnight it to me, it is that DAMN GOOD.

Got our New Years black eyed peas. Portions were hot, generous and absolutely delicious. Owner was an absolute delight. He even gave me a sample of his catfish. We will definitely be back and share this gem with others. Owner is also culinary trained and knows his southern dishes.

I got the cheeseburger and a side of cabbage—and wow. This is the burger you’ll have dreams about. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Get ready with a fork or have messy hands. The cabbage side was a great touch, hot and well-seasoned. My only issue? How am I supposed to try anything else on the menu when the burger is this good.

I was just shocked! I heard about it and now I know for myself. I will definitely be back every visit I make to HotSprings. The Catfish you Wouldn’t believe. The greens oh my goodness. Everything is delicious to be honest. Do yourself a favor and stop by….Did I mention the very reasonable prices? Again, will be back next month.

Sorry for these photos, I forgot the before pictures. These are after pictures of catfish, pork chops, pulled pork, greens, cabbage, black-eyed peas, and rad beans and rice. We(6 of us) ate Mama Vee’s for our New Years lunch. Everything was won, including the peach bread pudding and cornbread. The only drawback was that it was cold and there was no indoor seating, so we got carry-out.

We found Mama Vee’s on Google, didn’t know this is a food truck in an outdoor seating area with live band until we got here. This is a hidden Gem guys! Catfish and bbq baked beans were fabulous! Pork chop was thick and juicy! Homemade Apple pie bread pudding was a perfect add-on for the evening!
Definitely coming back for one more reasonably priced meal before we leave the Hot Springs!

Just ate here for the first time and every single item was absolutely delicious! I had the fried catfish with fries and baked beans and every bite was amazing. Service was also really friendly. Too bad we are just visiting. I would love to be able to eat here regularly.

Cool spot in a food truck lot. Catfish breading different but amazing. Good seasoning lighter not so cornbread. Better than all the ones we had in New Orleans. Cajun fries are the best I’ve ever had. Hot, crunchy, seasoned to perfection. Collard/turnip greens good and green super good and still tasted healthy. Best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had. Decent prices too. Homemade hot sauce.
Forgot to add the staff there are super friendly, and the chef came out to check on us. You can tell he’s a true food person and is very passionate about his art.
