My partner and I had the most incredible evening at Hacienda’s Mexican Bar and Cuisine, and I can’t wait to share our experience! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the gorgeous atmosphere – vibrant colors, beautiful decor, and such a welcoming vibe.
Let’s talk about the drinks first – WOW! The large piña colada and dragonfruit mojito are absolutely worth every single penny. They were perfectly crafted, refreshing, and generous in size. The dragonfruit mojito especially was a stunning visual treat!
We decided to be adventurous and ordered several items we’d never tried before, and we were blown away. Every single dish was not only delicious but also incredibly plentiful. The portions were generous, the flavors were authentic and bold, and the presentation was beautiful. You can truly taste the care and quality in every bite.
Our wait staff deserves special recognition – they were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They made excellent recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

I’m not convinced they don’t have a chip surveillance system. You blink? Chips. You breathe? Salsa refill. WHO is eating them? It’s you. It’s been you the whole time. By the end of the meal, I am reclining in the booth like a Renaissance painting of excess. I briefly consider unbuttoning something I am not legally allowed to unbutton in public. I tell the server, “Everything was perfect,” with the intensity of someone who has just survived something life-altering.

A far cry from the original restaurant in Holmen. Perhaps they are still training ? We left with a bill of just over $100 and highly disappointed in flavor. The drinks tasted like fake syrup and the food was bland. Completely missing the unmistakable flare of the original location & menu. The guacamole was not homemade and lacked any flavor. The service was fantastic but everything else leaves zero to be desired and will never return. Wish them all the best and luck to improve.

This restaurant is a great addition to the La Crosse foodie scene. The food was delicious, authentic, and served piping hot. They have different heat levels of salsas which I enjoyed. The service was friendly and attentive with a calming and welcoming atmosphere including plenty of windows and natural light.

Didn’t get the chance to make my pick up order because I was put on “hold” I could still hear everything in the restaurant and I could hear what sounded like plates being handled assuming that would mean they went to the kitchen possibly but what bothered me was the HEAVY wet coughing I heard. Took my entire appetite away. I get that people have colds but please mute the phone….
