Kaitlin prepared our order perfectly – every detail on point. The grilled tortilla with melted cheese at the base was warm, slightly crisp, and full of flavor – the perfect foundation for layers of cilantro-lime rice, black beans, shredded chicken, and fresh romaine.
Topped with pico de gallo, cilantro, green onions, cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime, every bite burst with freshness. The creamy tomatillo ranch dressing tied it all together – tangy, smooth, and perfectly balanced.
It was so good we went back three days in a row!

A bit of a slow experience to order and receive food, but the food is fantastic.And absolutely worth it. I strongly recommend the birria burrito with both enchilada sauce and queso on top. Darn, it just writing that makes me want to go get that for dinner.

You should know that it’s more of a cantina style inside, which I love because it’s casual

Ordered ahead and showed up at the pickup time. Did not see an order ready, so I waited by the counter to be helped. That went on for 10-15 minutes without an employee saying a word to me. After that, I went up and asked to cancel the order, because my wife and kids were sitting in the car. The employee said “okay, the refund will show up in 4-6 hours.” I asked for a confirmation receipt for the refund and she told me that’s not possible. Couldn’t wait any longer, so I left without it.

One big note is that there was literally a single customer who went through the line during the 10-15 minutes I was standing there. I understand being busy and heavy rush, but 40 minutes to make two burritos (and not have them ready) seems a little ridiculous. Especially with 7 employees and no line going through.

Always happy with the Sky Canyon location, so that’s where I’ll be ordering from here on out.

Team mate asked employee to help out with a busy rush. She however decided it was best to wait on the phone with the police bc of a man who was known for loitering in the store, even after he had left. She kept talking about it in front of an entire store full of people and it was very off putting. Many people waiting in store for orders. Very unprofessional employee.

The other employees were working very hard to try to keep up with the orders, but with the girl who was making more of a scene in the restaurant than the actual man who was loitering- not doing her part to help, they quickly fell behind. Speaking loudly about calling the cops in a full restaurant of people is something that deters customers from coming back and might scare them away. She also disrespected her coworker who looked like he was maybe the supervisor on duty, in front of a full restaurant when she told him No she was going to stay on the phone. The people, already upset their orders were taking so long, now were more upset bc they saw her doing everything but helping get the food out. It made the customers feel like they were on her time, not the other way around.

The cashier and other people working were all extremely friendly and working really hard.

A haven for the hungry
FOOD: pretty good portions, and the keep their juices stocked! However their ice is broken and some of their carbonated drinks are flat.
SERVICE: The place is kept very clean and the workers are very nice and speedy! I would totally go again!

There was no place for me to leave a written comment when completing the survey. Although everything on our order was perfect and the staff was great, I must tell you how disappointed I was to find out you no longer make whole wheat tortillas. The flour was good, but I will truly miss the whole wheat. Hoping others feel the same and you bring back that option.

Excellent food. Very enjoyable. Great staff. My only critique involves rewards credits. Cashiers don’t always point out that you have earned $$ toward a purchase. That should be pointed out when the QR code is scanned. Only 1 out of 3 cashiers informed me of my option to use my rewards. Otherwise, 5 stars.

If could give this place 0 stars, I totally would. Went to get dinner this little girl in a pink shirt was super rude, she lacks empathy, 0 customer service. I asked her for chicken in my quesadillas and she literally rolled her eyes at me, lady this is your job be nice to your customers this is what you get pay for sorry not sorry. I get it that they were busy but this is my first time eating at cafe rio and thanks to her the last time too.

***UPDATE:

After reaching out as requested my issue is still unresolved because they didn’t even bother to read my message. Figures. Horrible company and horrible customer service.

I ordered two enchilada entrées with Fire Grilled steak for delivery. I paid extra for guacamole. Neither entrée had guacamole or salsa as ordered. I called the store and spoke to Hannah and she said she would issue me a $5 app credit. She never did. Not only that, the rice was completely uncooked and rock hard in both entrées. A lot of the steak in the enchiladas was so overcooked it was literally like charcoal. We ended up throwing it out since apparently letting this location know about missing items or food quality issues doesn’t do any good.
