Went in last week after friends recommended the $5 Wednesday dosa night. We ordered a masala dosa and later an onion dosa. Unfortunately, both were barely warm and lacked the texture and flavor you’d normally expect from a dosa. I did politely mention the temperature after the first one and asked if the second could be served hot, but it was similar—lukewarm, with lightly added onions.
I understand discounted specials can be challenging to execute, but customers still expect the same quality they’d get on a regular day. If that’s not feasible, it might be better to rethink the special rather than compromise the experience. I hope they take this feedback constructively, as good, well-made food is ultimately what brings people back.

We absolutely love Market Cafe Indian Restaurant! Today we went with our Pickleball team for breakfast, and it was simply outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — every dish was damn yummy and loved by all of us.
What makes this place even more special is the people behind it. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure we’re taken care of and that we always have the best experience. Their support for our Pickleball group made us feel like family.

My wife and I tried this place after our friend recommended it for its famous goat biriyani. We went on Wednesday Night and we’re surprised to see the dosa night special where we could get any dosa for $4.99. We got two masala dosa, which were huge and very filling as well as flavorful. Unfortunately, we also made the mistake of ordering chicken biryani and spicy chicken wings on top of that. The spicy chicken wings felt as if they were frozen, but the flavor was really good (won’t dock points for it since it wasn’t advertise as otherwise). The chicken biryani was a 10 out of 10.
We’re very happy with our time here and we will definitely be back to try out more dishes. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is a big fan of Indian cuisine.

This place has some of THE BEST indian food in the Richmond area. Defintitely the best in Glen Allen. I have been multiple (4-5 times) and the consistancy is solid. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My wife and I like our food quite spicy, which you can opt into more of that if you mention you like it real hot in the order comments.

I will never suggest anyone to come here!! After seven hours of driving, I decided to take a detour to get some food and drinks which was suggested by Google based on my location, as I walked in I noticed this is an Indian restaurant sure, fine we’ve all had Indian food before and I didn’t mind because I love Indian food. while sitting down, five other Indian guys walked in and they were immediately served. I sat there for 30 minutes and the server refuse to address me or even pay me any attention. It’s sad that this is still happening in 2024. People wanna be black or have black friends when is convenient for them, but refusing someone because of the color of their skin is horrendous. I get it. The owner has a right to refuse my service, but it has to be a justifiable cause not because of the color of my skin. The sad part is they all look darker than me. Also, the bathroom and kitchen were both nasty.
