Family run Mexican Restaurant serving authentic Mexican cuisine. You will find on our menu red and green pozole with your choice of either chicken or pork and all the traditional fixings. Other items on the menu include plates of Birria, Barbacoa, Pork Ribs, Street Tacos with your choice of meat, and much more. Our family recipes have been used and perfected over multiple generations. If you are anywhere near the St. Cloud area, this is a must. You will NOT find any more authentic food in the state, this is a promise. I love Mexican food and have eaten it all over the U.S. and I must say you won’t find better. You would not expect to find food like this in West Central Minnesota, I was shocked! We had the red pozoles as well as the birria tacos, you have to taste it to believe it. This is classic small batch authentic food passed down for generations where only the owner knows the recipes so you know it’s gonna be good!!! And the service could NOT have been better, absolutely amazing food and staff!

Emiliano and his father Francisco greeted my wife and I as we entered the restaurant, noticing it was our first time and offered free samples of everything they had to offer.
We tried 3 different flavors of pozole, Mexican pork ribs, birria, barbacoa and more.
The samples were so delicious it was very hard to choose.
We ordered pozole rojo, enchiladas, a taco platter (asada, barbacoa beef, and al pastor), and a side plate of rice and beans.
The pozole came with a chicken taquito, lime, cabbage, onions, cilantro, a slice of avocado and chicharones.
We are native to Southern California and I can tell you in the central Minnesota area, there is no better Mexican food than what is served in this restaurant. Don’t spend your money elsewhere. This has every other restaurant beat, and it’s not close.
The customer service is on a different level too, we spoke with the two gentleman like we’ve known them for years. They were so kind and made us feel right at home.
These recipes tasted like my grandmother (who is from Jalisco) was cooking for me again.

They also make horchata and jamaica aguas frescas, not with syrup or instant mix.
There are many different types salsas available, my favorite was the avocado salsa. Medium heat level with lots of flavor.

I have been looking for great Posole for since leaving New Mexico and Tres Posole has it. Do not hesitate to come inside and order. If you have never had Posole or only had mediocre…. Come here. You won’t be disappointed. Very authentic!!!

Food and staff are delightful! Family recipes “made with love” do not disappoint! Will absolutely be coming back and working my way through the rest of the menu. The pozoles are all fabulous, and can also vouch for the short ribs and the birria. Fantastic!

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I needed to after my experience at Tres Pozoles tonight. It was my first time going to the restaurant and had heard about the restaurant from a coworker and wanted to give it a try. I got done with work late and felt bad I would be ordering close to when they were closing. I used to work in the food industry and understand how ordering late can make things difficult. I was greeted very warmingly by all the staff and felt no rush to order given how close they were to closing for the day. I ordered a few different dishes on their menu to go as I was ordering for multiple people. I ordered the Pozole Rojo, carne asada, and barbacoa de res. We tried all dishes and were blown away at the depth of flavor in all three dishes and how fresh/homemade everything was. I will definitely be a frequent guest at this establishment for all things that make a restaurant worth enjoying, friendliness, amazing service, and of course the delicious food itself. They deserve high appraise in all areas that make locally owned restaurants, and I will continue to advocate for the success of their business. Please give them a try and help support this rare gem I our great town!

We had dinner here tonight and we were SO impressed! Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by Francisco. Then, Francisco’s son offered us samples of two very delicious soups and 2 kinds of flavorful beef. My husband I each ordered the soup and shared a taco plate. Everything was spectacular! We dine out a lot and my husband and I both agree: this is the best Mexican food we have ever eaten! The restaurant is very clean and decorated so cute. We will definitely be back and plan to tell our friends about it, too.

First time experience and there will be definitely more visits to come! They offered free samples as we were newcomers. Samples alone were so hard to choose from! Love knowing it’s authentic family recipes passed on to share their deliciousness with us! We highly recommend trying this place out! Food was so flavorful and delicious! Omg! If I could give more than 5 starts I would. Food is a solid 11/10!! First time here, we got to samples some meats, they were super friendly! They were so attentive and even came to the table to check on us and bring us another sample of meat. We WILL be back. The food is ridiculously flavorful. Nothing needs to be added. Straight up eat it. No hoot sauce, no other sauces. Just enjoy the fresh authentic taste!
