A wonderful day of discovery. Firstly, the gorgeous town of Senlis. Then, the Menu Decouverte at Le Julianon. Wow! Shall be back to re-discover both the town and the restaurant.

This was one of the most pleasant and interesting meals we have had. We had the Menu Decouverte, and asked for wines to be paired with the courses. Each course was well conceived and executed, presented with elegance but not hubris or drama. Seasonal vegetables were thoughtfully prepared. The wines were all good examples of their appellation, and matched well with the courses. If we lived in Senlis we would try to visit once every season.

A small symphony in your plate executed with prowess and finesse. Surprisingly good combinations, harmonic “marriages” of ingredients you wouldn’t imagine them together. A new menu everyday according to the finds of the market. Hospitable people, amazing food , cosy environment and reasonable prices.
