First time here today. Don’t expect anything flashy, but do expect great tasting food. I ordered the chicken peanut curry along with pork egg rolls and fried dumplings.

Egg rolls were good and homemade. The peanut curry had a ton of veggies and the broth had awesome peanut flavor. Wasn’t too thick.

Wife had the Pad Thai Curry dish. It was a spin on the normal dish, but much more thicker/creamier like a fettuccine alfredo. It was tasty as well.

It’s a wife and husband team and they were very friendly, but I could see where more than a few tables and things might slow down. I could be wrong. But, regardless it’s a great small business we all need to support, especially when you’re hungry!

The veggie egg rolls were delicious and Tom yum soup was good too.

Not gonna sugar coat anything… it was 3 star at best. Basic “Thai” food that really just tasted like every other “Asian food” spot near by. Not like Forest Lake is a Mecca of good food but this is your very basic stuff. Every dish is bland and it tastes more or less like your run of the mill Asian food. Nothing special….accept the chicken app. I could eat that every day. At the same time, my wife’s tofu dish had 12 pieces of tofu and bell pepper in the sauce….that’s it. No way I’d ever say this food wasn’t tasty, it’s just… mundane and not very special. I feel like if they didn’t have soy sauce and bell pepper they would lose half their menu.

The red curry was delicious. Parking was a bit difficult. They only offered takeout orders at the time of order.

Nice food. Right on street near lake. Park on street. Quiet ambience. Good and friendly service. Best place around for Thai food.

Normally I would say new Bangkok is good. And it is. Pretty good Thai food considering it is Forest Lake MN. But…. The food I got today had blue fuzzy mold all over it… which is inexcusable, even for Forest Lake.

Updated: Don’t fix something that isn’t broken. My boyfriend and I used to go here once a week at one point. Up until a couple of months ago. They changed the menu items, they upped the prices at least $2 or more, and the service is really slow almost 20 minutes longer. They added something to the food too that makes it seem more processed and less fresh. The dumplings are really oily now and our crab rangoon was cold in the middle, the fried rice no longer has as much flavor. While we were there there were a few other customers either complaining about the prices or the change in menu items. We don’t go here as often anymore. If the prices reflected the food and the service we would be happy paying more, but that just isn’t the case anymore.
Old: This is my favorite place to go in Forest Lake. Good home made food, always seems fresh, big portions for not a lot of money, and warm friendly service. I hope they continue to do well and stay in Forest Lake! 🙂

The food is always delicious and the prices are good. My husband and I each had an entree for lunch and a Thai tea for $20. Food is good, prefect sweet and spicy balance and serving sizes are good. Service is good but not prompt (the food comes quickly though!). Clean, not busy. This is our 3rs or 4th stop and it’s consistent.

Went there with another couple anticipating a nice night out (Saturday) and received bare bones service and no help with menu or selections. Ordering by scanning code only, no personal recommendations, no hot tea, appetizers were overly deep fried, entrees were good but have had much better Thai food. Three couples came in, sat, no service help and walked out. First and last time there, and we are not that hard to please.
