Came in today and the male barista told me that if I wanted a refill, I had to buy another black coffee. Interesting, because Starbucks’ own refill policy says customers can get refills of brewed coffee or tea during the same visit when using the Starbucks app.

Either this location is making up their own rules, or the staff hasn’t been trained on the company’s actual policy. Not a huge deal, but it’s frustrating when employees confidently give incorrect information. Hopefully management can clarify the refill policy with their team.

Best service ever!! My hubby keeps talking about the unusual experience(these days) he had at this Elgin Starbucks (#62792)yesterday 1/22/26. They offered his latte in a REAL ceramic cup and personally delivered to his table, where he was working. They offered him a sandwich to go with the coffee. Everyone greeted him like 5 times and asked how he was doing. This is how Starbucks used to be, at the beginning…..super duper friendly, cool, attentive, smiling and going the extra mile for you!
We’ve been to hundreds of Starbucks nationwide, and this was REFRESHING!
It seemed like a “new model” they were trying out…. that intense, really!!!!

The service in the past had been slow at this location (I’ve waited 30+ minutes before), but it had stepped up significantly since then. This is the only exclusive coffee shop (brick and mortar) with a drive through in Elgin.

I met up with another mom and her child, and one of the staff approached us and offered us high chairs, another cups with whipped crème. I thought this place was very child friendly in the past, as I’d struggle to find a clean restroom with a clean changing table and table liners, and this was one of the very few places I’ve been to in the Central TX area that could offer those restroom amenities.

My friend’s child was doing developmentally normal, typical, baby screeching (not crying) and we were approached by a staff member, “you probably can’t do anything about it, but there are people trying to have meetings.” We decided to promptly leave and cleaned up our area. I could feel the sting of embarrassment from my mom friend who desperately needed a break and to feel “normal.”

I will say, if you have a very young child, it’s probably best to buy your coffee locally at a place like Chemn Cafe (which has more variety, better quality, and more zero-caffeine barista options) which does have a child’s play area, and understands the nuances of child development. When my daughter was very vocal like my friend’s daughter, we were met with smiles and excitement. Of course, all patrons are entitled to have a space to relax and enjoy coffee, but after the remark to my friend, this certainly isn’t a place I’d come back to again while my child remains young or even at all. There are other Starbucks locations, albeit a further drive. And there are other coffee shops in the Central TX area that are more inclusive of very young kids. This location isn’t a local coffee shop I’d recommend for adults with younger, vocal children. Otherwise if you have older kids, or you’re coming to this location to have a meeting, need a coffee through the drive thru, or/and supporting small, local businesses isn’t a priority, this is fine place to visit.

I drove through today, was greeted, they took my order, I was thanked by name, and then when they gave me my order, they thanked me by name again.
I don’t know why it matters to me so much that they used my name, but it was personal and kind and made me feel valued. When someone pays attention to the little details like that, I can’t help but believe that they’re going get everything else right with my order.
I highly recommend this Starbucks. Faith was the one who took care of my order. She was amazing.

I love the atmosphere and how big the store is! They are always busy but you can tell how hard they are working to get you what you need. They apologize for the long waits and make me laugh while I wait sometimes. Some buff guy with glasses at the window and I love his energy!

I placed an order on the app thinking it would be proactive. Boy was I wrong. The wait was extensive. Finally upon arriving at the window I was met with lackadaisical attitude. No sense of urgency. No happy customer service attitude I’ve come to expect with Starbucks. I was so excited to try this new location and was disappointed. Even after tipping 30%. I’ll stick with the Parmer/Mopac location.

I went through the drive through at this Starbucks on the way from Houston to Austin. Abbie was the person who took my order. She is honestly sunshine personified. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I honestly wish I was as sunshine-y as her. She is genuinely such a wonderful person. I wish there were more people like her in this world.

This place is very clean. The barista,, Bella was very cheerful and very friendly. She very helpfull, also. And her recommendation was right on stop. Wonderful experience. Only bad thing is getting into the parking lot. The building has Starbucks one side and other side is a dentist office. Each with their own parking areas a plus but whoever designated it didn’t have any common sense. Who puts one entrance and use that as the exit and that way is also the way you go to their drive thru. OMG it’s Starbucks..hello it will be busy. Who does that. I apologize every thing was is great with the Starbucks. When you come here you’ll see what I mean.
