The service was exceptional. We didn’t love the chicken fried steak (it was a bit tough) or catfish (very small pieces.) But the kids meals were good and the pie was good. Our experience was all around 5 stars just because the customer service was so great.

Great restaurant, centrally located, and fun atmosphere. Menu is thoughtfully contemplated and designed. Full bar.
Kitchen delivers the goods with care. Food tastes SO good. I am impressed.
Dine-in service is polite and friendly. Patrons are friendly.
Facility is well maintained and clean. Restaurant is well run and managed. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Perfect spot adjacent to downtown Jacksonville with plenty of parking.
Family friendly, with the hospitality and inclusion that generally runs most all businesses in Jacksonville, Texas.
Be certain to save room for dessert. You’d be a fool to miss this restaurant’s sweet offerings.

If your in jacksonville tx and not eating here, your missing out!!!! The food was still so fresh when I got home with it! This is the best food I’ve eaten in a long time! And the staff is so funny and personal. Felt like I was walking into my grandma’s kitchen.

Great service in a unique building. Wife had the jalapeño filet which was excellent but expensive. I had the jalapeño pork loin that came out dry which was disappointing. The side dishes were surprisingly good (macaroni and cheese, asparagus, potato casserole, squash casserole). We’re going to try Sadlers again but order from the regular menu instead of the specials.

In the heart of Jacksonville Texas, “the tomato capital of the world “lies a little known place called SADDLER’S. Founded in the 40s for their famous pies and farm to table ingredients. Just wait until you sink your teeth into one of these stuffed fillets that were fork cut tender. Sides were on point and the dessert was off the charts.
Will definitely be coming back to sample more of the hidden local flavor….,

We drove down from Tyler after seeing lots of Facebook buzz about Sadler’s. The service was definitely a highlight—our servers were sweet and attentive.
The food, however, was hit-or-miss. The Brisket Nachos looked nothing like the promo photos—plainer with less brisket, though still tasty. Entrées like the Country Fried Chicken Strips, Brisket Quesadilla, Grilled Salmon, and the Wagyu Flat Iron Steak special were good, not great. Sides were average (the wedge salad stood out, but the green beans were forgettable), and they were out of the fried Brussels sprouts I wanted to try. Dessert—the chocolate cream pie—was fine but unremarkable.
For what we got, the $140 bill with tip felt overpriced. Sadler’s is a pleasant restaurant with good service, but the food quality doesn’t quite justify the cost. Worth a stop if you’re already in Jacksonville, but I wouldn’t make the special trip again.
⭐ Service: 4/5
⭐ Food: 3/5

Food was really delicious. It has an upscale mom and pop flavor to its food. I had the shrimp and crayfish Alfredo with grilled asparagus and fried Brussel sprouts. It was amazing. I will definitely come back in a heartbeat
