I ordered online, not through door dash or uber, but directly through island fresh. I picked ASAP for the time, but it then gave me a time, no problem. I got there a little early and they told me they didn’t have the order, that it typically comes out 15 min before the time it should be done. The girl behind the counter was very nice and said would go get the manager. The manager, who was extremely young, came over to me and I explained what happened. I asked if it were possible to start the order even though I was a few minutes early, and his reply was “how about you come later instead”, basically shrugged and walked away. Needless to say, I was less than pleased and quite frankly really annoyed. No customer service or service recovery whatsoever. Will NOT be coming back. And from some of the reviews I’ve seen, this isn’t a one time occurrence.

I used to like this place, and I understand working in a fast paced environment can be challenging, but employees here need to be aware that customer service is everything that makes a business successful, especially if it’s family owned. Unfortunately, the line workers here were not as friendly as I thought, I was also overcharged for a tiny taco, and one of the workers refused to give me a drink although I paid for it. I didn’t want drama, otherwise I would’ve made a scene. so I just walked away, but I won’t return to this place again.

Visited right before lunch rush on a Sunday and my experience was like nothing I’ve ever seen at islands, including this very location. Ingredients were far from fresh despite the restaurant having just opened. The “fresh” jalapenos added to my salad and on the line were literally mush. The pico was wilted and seemed to be days old. The young lady making my salad literally added toppings by the pinch, not handful—even after asking for more. No tongs at the drink station for fresh lemons, leaving customers to potentially grab them with their bare hands. Teas were left uncovered. A disaster and not what I expect from a longstanding go-to restaurant. Food poisoning waiting to happen.

Wanted to try something new today, so visited this location. My husband and myself and 1 daughter all said the food was tasteless and not seasoned. The chicken in our food was a weird consistency and the steak was dry. My other daughter said Taco Bell was better. We all agree, sadly. Also, I ordered a side of queso with my meal and again at the register when paying. Never received it so had to go back up to ask for a third time and somehow, after asking for it the first 2 times, the cashier never charged us for it so I had to pay separately upon the 3rd request. Ridiculous.

Good tacos. Clean facility and restrooms. Enjoy the bar by the window for people watching. Order was quick and painless. Be sure if u want the dollar tacos, check out at five pm or later. For some reason we was charged full price for all tacos five mintues before five pm plus extra for cucumbers even though we let them keep their meat and cheese. Check out service was super strict and confusing.

I’ll say this first, I love Islands and they will continue to have my support. With that being said they need to do better with their quality at this store in particular. Twice in recent memory, the steak and chicken were so greasy. My stomach suffered because of it. I’m almost positive it stems from the meat. No coincidence that it has happened twice. I eat at the Monkey Junction one often and have had no issues there. The meat there is much better in quality.
