Calling this place Mexican cuisine is comparable to calling chef boyardee Italian food. Maybe that’s your thing. We drove out to grab lunch at another spot that was closed unfortunately and ended up here. If you want to drink your burrito through a straw tortilla and all, have at it. Service was good and people were nice, but my review is based on food quality. We cried all the way home such a disappointment.

My family really enjoyed our dinner at Palenque tonight! I had the Palenque burrito (tri-tip steak), my wife had the amazing taquitos, and my son had the fajitas. Todo estuvo excelente!(All of it was excellent!). The portions were very generous. THANK YOU!

Felt like walking into a restaurant in Mexico. I haven’t seen a margarita like this since Mazatlan. I LOVE chicken mole and this is the BEST mole I’ve ever had. My son said it was the best horchata ever. My family was all incredibly happy with their meals too and all the staff was friendly and responsive. A real hidden gem here in the wilds of Idaho.

First off the chips were by far the best fresh chips in Idaho and the salsa was good as well. My wife and I both ordered the street tacos. I had the pork carnitas and she had the carne asada, the portions were both large and both delicious. I would highly recommend either. Our margaritas were okay, large drinks but needed a bit more tequila in them. Overall an excellent meal, I would definitely stop here again when we’re in the area.

The menu showcased your standard fare. It was not great, but not bad either. Fajitas were flavorful, the portion was big enough for both of us to share & the Margarita was good. The young waitstaff was not well versed in the food nor how to fully take an order. (What to ask, options of sides, the special, corn vs flour tortillas, etc) The owner was very nice, even allowing us to bring our pup to the dining patio as to not have to leave him in the hot car. All things considered, if we drove through Kamiah again, we’d try this place again.

Apparently they close at 8 on Friday night during the winter time. Found out it’s winter time and the hours have changed from the server during our meal. Was informed the hours are posted on the door. Sorry lady I used Google for the hours before we went in. We didn’t know and didn’t deserve the rude attitudes for it. I’m the guy who never goes to a place to eat in the last hour, ever. I know what that is like. I have worked in the restaurant industry. Since they don’t keep the hours updated on Google, I guess the only way for me to not make the mistake again is to not risk going there again

We shared a combo plate with an enchilada and a chili relleno, rice and beans. It was all great. We also enjoyed the refried bean dip with our chips. The staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful.
