After seeing Mr. Roberto Payer himself (before his retirement) making appearances on YouTube and in programs like De Keuringsdienst van Waarde many times, we had this restaurant on our wish list for quite a while. We went tonight to celebrate my birthday as well as our 6th anniversary and it was an absolute wonderful evening at Roberto’s! Parking is right in front of the hotel with ParkBee, so that’s a good start already. From the very first moment the staff is making you feel very welcome. We got the best table in the restaurant near the fireplace, with some very comfortable chairs. The restaurant has a stylish and relaxing ambiance, with some nice Italian music playing in the background. The whole evening each and every staff member was very friendly and very capable in spotting any needs, they certainly know what they’re doing and it was a well oiled machine. And then the food, we went for the ‘Ultimate Italian Feast’ menu, which includes a starter, a pasta and a main course. We both had different dishes on every course and each and every single one of them was just exquisite! Presentation, taste, flavor, all spot on! When we were about to pay for our lovely evening we were pleasantly informed that they only charged our drinks and the dessert, as a gift for my birthday and our anniversary, with the compliments of Marco, the manager. We would like to take this opportunity to once more thank Marco and the rest of the team a million times for a truly unforgettable evening and we are already looking forward to our next visit in 2026!

Had dinner at Roberto’s Restaurant in Amsterdam, and it was great from start to finish. I ordered the basa fish with vegetables, accompanied by rosemary potatoes, and I was very impressed with the quality and preparation. The fish was delicate, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned, complementing the dish without overpowering it.
The rosemary potatoes deserve a special mention – lightly outside, soft and tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. They were full of flavor, not burnt or oily, and prepared with great attention to detail.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the experience. Roberto’s is located in a beautiful part of Amsterdam, with elegant surroundings that make it a wonderful place for an evening out. The service was attentive yet relaxed, creating a welcoming environment without being overwhelming.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with a warm and inviting vibe. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. However, the vegetarian options were quite limited. That said, the food I did try was enjoyable and well-prepared. A great place overall, it would be even better with a broader veg selection.

Atmosphere was gorgeous and staff were very professional.
My husband went with Ultimate Italian Feast which came with one starter, one Maui and one dessert. That was a great value!
Carpaccio Cipriani was so well prepared! I’m not a fan of beef carpaccio but i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Red prawn tartar was dressed with gold flakes on top- so fancy! It had similar texture like having sashimi ebi and it was great.
My daughter had a beet salad and that was the dish to remember.
As for entree, my husband’s lamb was tasty and well cooked. Side dish was well seasoned.
My linguini a la vongole was tasty but way too salty. That’s the only reason for 4 stars, others it would have been 5!
Overall we enjoyed our dinner at Roberto’s.

Very nice atmosphere. Great selection of Italian cuisine from multiple regions. The sea bass and lasagna were delicious. Loved the tiramisu. Our server Francesco was so pleasant. He did a fantastic job. Grazie Francesco.

I had dinner with the girls and we had such an amazing time. The food was delicious (authentic Italian with high quality ingredients), the service great and we enjoyed the elegant but chilly atmosphere of the restaurant. Highly recommended! I love this hotel restaurant. The food is exquisite. I was able to have a zero proof sparkling rose! Also Eugenia was a lovely server, the whole staff was incredible. Macro the manager was very upfront about the dinner wait for food since it was during dinner rush setting clear expectations.

Amazing food experience! We chose restaurant quite randomly based on reviews and location and we were super satisfied with the food.
We ordered asparagus with egg, cheese for appetizer, grilled plate of fish as a main course. Food was prepared in a great way, portions were good, everything was super tasty!
My wife ordered tiramisu, and it was great too!
Only thing we were dissatisfied was quality of coffee – for such good restaurant, regular Lavazza should be replaced with nicer coffee.
And waiting time for double espresso – over 20 minutes! It is something hard to accept.
Overall we were happy with the food, ultimately happy with whole visit.
