They have a very nice place. Their food is very good and tasty. The quality of their food is great. I enjoyed the duck especially. They also have quite selection of drinks you can try. The price is quite high. The atmosphere is very homey. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. One note, restroom is outside of the seating area. You have to walk in the cold just to use restroom

We came here for a Valentine’s Day dinner. We both got the Pre Fixe menu. I really like the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly. We liked all the dishes which were well crafted. The chef definitely put in the time designing each concept. However, for the price point, I’d expect to have complimentary bread service, and the portion was on smaller end.
About the getting into the restaurant, entrance door should be pulled to go in (I can imagine how hard to close it on a windy day). More lights between the parking lot to the restaurant. It was really dark especially around the unpaved area; more light along the path would be really nice.

Chef Sanchez is an absolute genius with flavor and expression creating an amazing, True, farm to table experience. Gorgeous plating. Perfect portion sizes & the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Incredible Holiday drink menu with attention to detail & aesthetically captivating. We took zero photos as I just wanted to relax and Enjoy. We were absolutely spoiled on our 20th Anniversary and can’t wait to come back! Now digging into my Everything Bagel Goat Cheese!!

We had the New Year menu and it was fantastic – cozy vibe, attentive service, and every course felt special. The tuna crudo and uni butter squid ink pasta were highlights, and the short rib with truffle risotto was melt-in-your-mouth. Pumpkin pot de crème was the perfect finish. Definitely coming back.

We went for their Valentine’s day menu special with a reserved seating setup for their four-course fixed meal. The food is good overall, though the main course potatoes were too salty. Servers are friendly and sweet.

My personal favorite was the Hokkaido scallops, but we weren’t a fan of the BBQ carrots. They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages, mocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. I loved the In the Loop cocktail, and for a non-alcoholic option, the matcha lemonade 10/10!

A great small local spot to support plus a great farm-to-table dining experience ❤️

Friday I enjoyed an excellent gourmet dinner at Caprae at Prairie Fruit Farm in Champaign Illinois. Before dinner I went around the barn and petted friendly goats born this year who wanted me to rub them. Then I washed my hands before dinner.
I started off with the Pineapple Death cocktail (photo) with a slice of died pineapple on top.
With dinner they served my favorite Italian wine, Barbera. Then Summer Squash Carpaccio with parmigiano reggiano and chevre mousse made of goat milk. I never liked goat milk until I came here. Now I love it.
Then I had Ocean Harvest Pasta with squid ink bugatini, purple pasta, a joy to eat with blue crab, lobster and scallops, and creme fraiche made from goat milk.
To finish I could not pass on the Chocolate Pot de Creme of chocolate mousse, flavored whipped cream and nuts.
I will remember this meal for many years.

One of our main entrees and a side did not come out for an hour. The waitress was kind and apologetic, but we had told at least one other employee about the issue. We also could have used water more often or perhaps a carafe to fill our selves.
The food was delicious and we had no issue with anything else. We had a reservation and were seated immediately with water and menus just before our reserved time.

Went here on a whim and was blown away by the quality and creativeness of the dishes! We had a wonderful kale salad, acorn squash, and the pork chop was exceptional. Very high quality dining especially for the area and well worth a trip!

When you need a chill get-away from your hectic life, this is the place. I’ve been on three occasions (Chef’s dinner, off the menu, and an outdoor event) and all were unique and wonderful in their own way.

Can’t wait for the next experience.
