BISTREAUX ON ASSEMBLY

BLUF: food and server were amazing, and even have Gluten free (GF) options! I don’t want to unfairly rate this restaurant… we went on Saturday night, which was game night… it was ridiculously loud… there was a DJ and everyone was screaming in their groups to socialize…. you’d have thought you were in a wallflower club (not a dance club, and stilettos not required )…. not sure the atmosphere outside of Saturday night, but if you’re looking for amazing Cajun food and service with a smile and don’t mind a loud crowd, this is the spot! Even have hookah available! I had the red beans and rice (GF and delicious)!

First and last time.

I drove a little over an hour based on reviews. I’ll start by saying I was seated immediately. The atmosphere is nice. They even had a guy playing the sax! Waitress was nice, but not attentive.

Now, let’s hop into this food. Well pictures are worth 1000 words, that I’m sure google won’t allow me to type. Wasn’t advised it wasn’t any sides until my food came out.

I’m not certain what happen, but I won’t give it another chance to happen. Due to the waitress not being attentive, it’s no point than complaining. It’s money, it can always be made back.

The good part my husband enjoyed his shrimp pasta. I personally did not taste any Nola flavors. I guess Nola left the building.

I hope the establishment does better.

Really bummed by our experience. Was a big fan of the Broad River restaurant, except for the location. So we were very excited when something opened closer. Friendly service but just odd things going on. From being asked if we wanted plastic or silverware for dining in to the booth tables being over a foot away from the benches. Just very odd seating, so seak a table if you go. We went for lunch and there was only two other tables seated, yet it took over 30 mins to get the food. That’s where it really went downhill. I ordered the marinated chicken breast sandwich but what came out was nothing of the sort. When I noticed a bun concealing what looked to be fried oysters I notified the server that I ordered the chicken. He went to the back and upon returning confirmed that it was in fact chicken and not oysters. I asked why is it popcorn chicken when the menu states a marinated chicken breast. To which he replied, “that’s how it dropped” and walked away. I have no idea what that means but ultimately there’s no way to eat popcorn chicken on a bun, and they made no effort to correct it. Since I had already waited over half an hour I didn’t want to change my order. It was a very disappointing experience and unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back. I noticed other people having the same issue and posting on the Broad River reviews about the quality of the food. You can see from the pictures what I was served was not a marinated breast sandwich that the menu describes. Also there was no cheese.

Food is always good as well as customer service, we enjoy sitting at the bar.
Lele is always so nice & her customer service is awesome. We have been 3 times in the past 3wks & she already remembers us & our order.

Food is delicious. Most of time. Every now and then you can tell when cook changes. My reason for low stars is staff. It changes quickly and I have to say I have only had two people that seem friendly , welcoming etc. New location they are always huddled up at e d of bar talking and watching their phones.just look at you upon entering instead of friendly greeting. I come here a lot. I love friend crawfish tails. (Except change in portion size all the time ) but they don’t interact unless they know you. (Usually another employee or precious employee) I sat 3p mins or more on a to go order not offered a drink or told what the happy hour drink specials were. I want to give 5 stars.. but their servers need to be more friendly.

I read several reviews that were inaccurate, so I have to assume the reviewers had bad intentions with their reviews.

The place looks awesome . Waited like 40 minutes to get an appetizer. And mind you we were the ONLY patrons in the building And some other waitresses name Mari who had attitude from the gate took our food and gave it to her patrons. Needless thru this experience Peaches made it better. Thank God for her. The best service everrrr. ….She is the best. Salmon bites are the best!!! Pasta hell no. Macaroni noodles no pasta noodles . As shown in picture. Don’t waste your money. Happy hours is cool .

I went there tonight, it’s a vibe. Good music and Sandra was my waitress, she’s so kind and attentive, based on her I will return. The beignets were freaking awesome. The lamb chops wasn’t bad but I cook this literally every week and it needs to bake/pressure cook longer so it can be tender. The greens :again cook longer to be tender and more seasoning, but it was okay. I had a headache so I couldn’t enjoy the atomshere but it was lit and the DJ was fire. I will return.
