Established in 1995 in Amherst by UMass grad Bob Lowry, Bueno Y Sano now operates at seven family-owned locations in Western MA and Burlington, VT. Our burritos, quesadillas, tacos, salads and other recipes are all handcrafted with fresh ingredients and hundreds of delicious combinations. We’re also a proud community sponsor. Our first visit, after shopping and it’s a gem. It’s counter service, order to go or dine in. We dined in, authentic music was playing which adds to the atmosphere.
Small dining area but they also offer tables out front. Serve your own salsa of variety of heat.
Don’t forget to add the free extras like sour cream for your burrito. Friendly atmosphere and good eats. We’ll go again for sure.

This place was love at first sight! I am so glad we checked it out while in town. It is the best Latin American restaurant for vegetarians that I have ever been to. It is a place for a quick bite similar to the big chain restaurants such as Chipotle. The difference is that the portion sizes are huge, the food is fresher. The Saitan bowl was amazing and I would eat eat every day if I lived here. The people who work there are very friendly and clearly take pride in their establishment. The salsa selection is just another nice touch. They not only taste great, but are free!

Ordered 1 bowl and 1 burrito. Bowl with guacamole, burrito no guacamole. When I got home I found 2 burritos. No guacamole. Plus I was billed for 2 orders of guacamole instead of 1. This is the 3rd time that I’ve gotten billed for the guacamole and they didn’t put any in the bag. Happened at 3 different locations. I hate to sound like a conspiracy person but come on. Why does this keep happening? Is it really just a mistake or are they scamming people?

Very fast and easy for my pickup order with no contact. It was easy to drive up and park for a moment outside of the location, but I could see this being more difficult during busy hours. The food was great! I tasted the bowl and the salad along with the stuffed jalapeno. The flavors were great, but I think the stuffed jalapeno was a bit overpriced for what I got, so I probably wouldn’t get it again. However, the rest of the food was delicious, and I will likely visit again.

I really like the Chargrilled shrimp bowl when the shrimp are grilled, but unfortunately the shrimp are seldom actually grilled in any way, manor, shape or form! Just steamed, tasteless, and unseasoned. Totally hit or miss. Very disappointed again.

The location is pretty good along the strip, but the parking can be a bit discouraging, especially around lunch time with the other businesses being open and competing for foot traffic. The couple of times we’ve been, have been positive. The staff was pleasant and friendly and the food is very good. We like the burrito bowl option, less carbs and calories, and the food always seems fresh. They have several selections to choose from and some special combos. The prices are fair and you definitely shouldn’t leave there hungry. But I do like the traditional burrito now and again, just can’t resist cutting into one and checking out the delicious stuffing

Generous portions, very fresh ingredients. Nothing tasted like it had been pre made a few days ago. I had the quesadilla with mushrooms. They have a nice homemade salsa bar which is fabulous. The hottest sauce is not very hot but this is the east coast so not surprising. Still delicious though.

Cozy little place, very nice staff. Ordered a seitan burrito with grilled corn and mild hot sauce, no cheese…it was so good! The best vegan burrito I’ve had in quite a while, super flavorful. Also a really good size, just enough food to be satisfied without being stuffed, lol. Wish I wasn’t from out of town, I’d be here all the time! The disco ball in the corner is so cute. Also loved the gender neutral restrooms. ️⚧️ (Don’t really have those back home.)
