We had a plain dosa, a masala dosa, a boneless mutton fry dum (biriyani), a Murgh Afgani, and closed it with a Gajar ka halwa.
The flavors were spot on, medium level spice was just right. The seasonings could be tasted well.
One could taste the ghee which gave the richness to the gajar ka halwa but it could use a tad more firmness (should have been cooked down a little more).
The meat in the biriyani & the murgh afgani were salt forward. I would have rated the food 5 stars if not for this.
We ordered 2 kormas, chicken tikka masala, and chicken biryani. The korma sauce was right on super delicious, but I was super disappointed because the vegetables inside the korma were extremely overcooked and I believe previously frozen. The chicken dishes were apparently really good. But everything was served at different times in fact, we finished the three entrées before my husband got his entrée. The service wasn’t amazing. Our waitress gave us our food and refilled our water once. She was friendly just not really checking up on us. Prob won’t be back.
The quality of ingredients really stood out, and the presentation was great as well. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was consistently excellent. The portions were generous, and the food felt truly comforting and homemade.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Indian food and a great dining experience. We will definitely be coming back!
made more special. Tasted Haleem and it was delicious and authentic. Tried Appetizers which are very tasty. Service was very good and atmosphere in house was good and my overall experience is amazing.
Strongly recommend this place to enjoy homely and spicy food.
My rating is 5*****

Hey, HBK Houston, do you have a special license to serve the best Indian food in Texas?
Not to be too much of a snob but I’ve had Indian food from all over the states. All over the San Francisco Bay area, Las Vegas, Houston, New York City, London (England), and Singapore. Of all those I gotta say this place is in the top three. Maybe the top two out of all of them.
The food is just… Perfect. We’ve been here twice and, with no overlap between each order, everything was super amazingly delicious.
The service is excellent too. Very patient and polite. Although, maybe it’s just me but I think they need to speak a bit louder.
The place can get noisy when it’s nearly a full house. You can still converse but extra volume is required.
The menu is quite large too. I want to try everything! I have this insecurity that this place will disappear before I’ve been able to have all of the dishes.
I have three benchmarks for Indian cuisine. The first is the naan.
This place blew my mouth away with their incredible naan. The ‘plain’ naan is the absolute best I’ve had in at least twenty years. Just amazing in every category. Their Bullet Naan is also exquisite!
The second benchmark of Indian cuisine for me is their navratan kurma.
Theirs was spot on and I couldn’t stop eating it. So fresh and topped off with awesome paneer.
The last benchmark is the masala chai. It’s good. Very good, but not the best. Bummer. But there is excellent masala chai nearby.
Special shout out goes to Hyderabadi Chicken 65. It’s a but creamier than regular Chicken 65 and it has an extra touch of citrus too. It’s a wonderful take on a fantastic dish. So yummy.
We’ll be back that’s for sure.
