I received word that a very dear and close friend of the family passed earlier today. As it is customary to visit the mourning family along with providing a comforting meal, it would have been impossible for me since I reside over 3 hours away. It quickly dawned on me how much Jersey Mike’s is loved by everyone and therefore quickly placed a call. My call was answered after just one ring. I explained my situation and was immediately transferred over to Assistant Manager Fernando Jr who had just finished his long day shift and was headed home for the evening.
Assistant Manager Fernando Jr, upon hearing my dilemma, immediately offered his services in assisting me with my situation. He patiently explained the available catering options, took my order, beautifully prepared the large meal order and delivered it personally, two towns away.
I am extremely grateful at the kindness, professionalism and courtesy Assistant Manager Fernando Jr. showed me. He truly exemplifies what the role of management and ownership in Corporate America should be. Thank you!
But, the atmosphere in this particular franchise is terrible. It was cold (many are…must be a corporate thing). Seating is uncomfortable, and when you slide the chairs in or out from the table they make a loud grating noise on the tile floors, so it’s always noisy. All Mike’s we have gone to are like this. Just not good places for dining in at all.
However, in this particular location there was one of the two front doors that was broken so whenever someone came in or out it banged like heck. Maybe they have a call into maintenance. If anything they should keep that door locked until it’s fixed.
All in all, not a pleasant experience. Doubt we will be back.
I ordered a #9 ( a giant), with extra meat (roast beef), extra cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oregano, oil oil & salt. This sandwich is absolutely pathetic! No extra meat…which they charged me over $3.99 for. No extra cheese. There’s no bacon on it! This a GIANT! The vegetables are sparse. There’s no excuse for this pitiful sandwich that cost me over $20? They’re closed. I’m sick. They didn’t give a receipt. They know exactly what comes on a #9 & a giant at that! This is the most lame sandwich I’ve ever had & I want it remade tomorrow. I’m eating this sorry sandwich because it’s all I have for my son & I. My husband is over in Bahrain keeping us all safe & the last thing I should have to worry about is a sandwich shop taking $20 & making a sandwich that’s worth $5. I want it remade tomorrow. There’s no excuse for giving customers lackluster food that already costs too much to begin with. Stop rooking your customers. Selling a well made sandwich should ALWAYS be your goal!
