A first for all 3 in our party. We all liked the inviting atmosphere, and it was very clean and comfortable. Food options were a bit more limited than other places we visited. We all loved the mac salad as it was not too sweet. Our meats all tasted great, but unfortunately, my Garlic Chicken was a bit dry. We did like having the brown rice option for a side. I think it’s a good-sized portion for the money. My son said this was the best Masubi he has had. The staff were friendly, but seemed a little exasperated when we were trying to figure out our orders, even though we were the only people at the counter at the time. Over all a good experience and a place we’d come back to when in the area.

Great atmosphere.. great customer service. The food was good.. The only reason this is getting 4 stars is because the prices are quite high.. The restaurant was clean and service was quick.

I had high hopes for Kokonut, but I was very disappointed. Ordered the poke bowl and 2 meat plate with Kalua Pork, Maui Garlic Chicken, and Mac salad. The poke bowl somehow had no flavor but was just extremely spicy. The Kalua pork was fine, but the Maui garlic chicken was way too salty. As bad as I feel saying it, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. The food is not worth the price.

Food brought tears to my eyes, but seriously sooo good. Taste fresh and amazing, spam musabi has sooo much flavor and its super filling, great for a snack! The katsu chicken and teriyaki chicken taste amazing on their own but adding more sauce to them really bring it to their full potential! They also have some great guava drinks, i had a straverey one and wow! Super tasty and refreshing. Seriously grab a bite and give them a try, super nice ppl and a cozy atmosphere!!

This place used to be good when it opened, but service has really gone down hill. I can’t give the food a rating for this visit because we couldn’t even put an order in. I was just trying to get my hungry teenage daughter a quick meal after her swim meet. We arrived around 8:25 PM on a Friday knowing they closed at 9 PM. When we arrived there was no line. They appeared to be working on some online orders when we approached the counter. They finished some orders, and then went over and grabbed receipts for even more online orders. After we were waiting about 5 minutes the guy closest to us finally looked up briefly and said sorry, then kept working on the additional online orders. As we watched them prep online orders it looked like they were getting low on meat options, so I asked what they had left. After hearing out options opening talked outloud asking my daughter about what she would order with the limited meat options so they could hear us and get the hint we were ready to order, but they continued to ignore us. There was the guy actively working online orders, a lady cooking in the back, and another guy standing near the register helping a little bit with online orders, but sometimes standing around not doing much. After we had been there about 10 minutes and saw he wasn’t doing anything, I approached and asked bluntly if they were planning on taking our order. He said something pretty quietly that I thought I heard “sorry we are busy, we can’t yet,” then just like the other guy put his head down and avoided any further eye contact. Realizing they had no intention of helping us anytime soon, we left. I understand that they were busy with online orders, but I’d expect them to be more friendly than we were treated . If they were really too busy to take in person takeout orders, maybe they could inform us when we walked in so we didn’t have to just stand there wasting our time watching them prepare food for customers who hadn’t even arrived yet. Or and even better idea, maybe you could actually take our simple in person takeout order in a timely manner, and treat their potential customers with some manner of courtesy and respect. From now on I’ll go out of my way to give my business to their competitors rather than return here.

This place is good but not amazing for the price, and not especially unique..

I will say I like their Tropical Lava Cake better than guava cake we have had elsewhere.

The poke bowl was fine but not great, though I can only compare with what I’ve had in Hawaii which maybe isn’t fair. You can’t find poke very many places in Utah, so maybe it’s worth a shot if you’re craving it.

The meats were good quality, just nothing special compared to Mo’ Bettah’s.

I’m interested to try one of their sandwiches sometime.

In the meantime, I prefer The Salty Pineapple (where they have a little more variety) for island inspired food.

I hadn’t heard of this restaurant until they sponsored an awesome treasure hunt. My boyfriend, daughter, and I decided to stop in and grab some dinner tonight and I’m soooo glad we did!

My boyfriend and I ordered the katsu chicken sandwich and OH MY GOODNESS! My tastebuds were in food heaven! The crunch and flavor were on point, and they didn’t skimp on the portions. The chicken patty was thick! I couldn’t even fit the whole sandwich in my mouth! It was a pretty messy sandwich, but I’d get it again in a heartbeat.

My 7-year-old daughter wasn’t too hungry, so we got her a kids plate with katsu chicken. It came with some dipping sauce and she really enjoyed it.

We all got a slice of the tropical lava cake. It was so light, moist, silky (if that even makes sense, and not overly sugary. This was one of the best desserts! I ate half the cake in the blink of an eye. My boyfriend said he wished he had ordered himself 3 more pieces! It was so good and we’d definitely order it again.

Long story short, 10/10! Go eat here! They have delicious food and an incredibly nice staff.

This restaurant has one of best island food in town. The crispiest katsu chicken with the best katsu sauce. The Maui burger is HUGE (I wish the bacon was cooked a little bit more tho) with those delicious battered fries. The guava cake is also good and I would say it serves 2 people.
All the staff were kind, fast and very professional. My experience was great. I’ll definitely come back!
