I like to explore thai restaurants at any new city I visit and I have to say that this was the BEST Panang Curry (with tofu) I have ever had. We had dinner here AND lunch the following day – that is how good the food we got was!
Other dishes ordered: Summer Garden Rolls, Mixed Veggies w tofu, broccoli & Tofu teriyaki, Salmon with rice on the side, Mango sticky rice & Taro root ice cream for dessert.
Thai Iced Tea was 4/5 as I could taste the Black Tea than I would like but it was still delicious.
Minimal wait for a table for 4 each time we went.
*we let our waitress know that we wanted our food cooked without oyster sauce due to dietary restrictions and it was easily complied with*

The prices sure went up since we last came here in 2023, but I still love this restaurant and my husb and I used to eat here monthly for lunch after going to Ft Myers gym in 2018. This place is total nostalgia for me since I’m a DMV girl. We had been going here since 2000.
They stopped serving the iced Thai tea with separate syrup. Used to love that.

One of the original and best Thai places in the DMV from the 90s. Fully renovated with stunning interior design. Perhaps architecturally , THE most stunning Thai restaurant in town. Located in the heart of The Village at Shirlington right off 395 , we have been going there since the 1990s. In additional to the amazing ambience and location the food is one of the BEST. The top item on my list is the Chicken Basil which has been consistently excellent. It’s really minced chicken over a bed of Jasmine rice but the trick is in the fresh basil and other Thai ingredients that make it a delectable dish. The Green curry chicken, the pad Thai , the Kaprow beef , Thai basil fried rice , Pad see ew noodles , pan seared crab and shrimp gyoza , grilled beef salad, to wrap it up with a mango sticky rice and a perhaps one of the best Thai iced teas this side of the world ! Strongly recommended by The Riz. You’ll love the place and the food. Service is also great!

Ordered to-go: Thai Fried rice, pork and beef shumai, crispy spring rolls, and beef and broccoli. The order was ready so fast! (10 minutes) and everything was delicious. Next time I’m in the area we will be ordering again!

When I’m craving Thai food, this place is my go-to. The food is amazing, the workers are great, and there’s plenty of parking nearby.

Everything was delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our servers, Lyn and Keshi, were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. The atmosphere was cozy. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Drunken noodles tasted wonderful. But should have asked them to hold the onions. We ordered vege spring rolls as our appetizer and they were unique. Almost 8″ long, tightly wrapped, with a delicate and tasty sauce. The place has been around for 30! years so they have good food. Only negative? A busy Sunday night and it got super loud. Hard to chat over my noodles.

We didn’t have a reservation, walked in, and were seated in a few minutes. The service was amazing. Kai did a great job of taking care of us. My wife had the pine apple fried rice and I had the panang curry. It has to be the best we’ve ever had. It was so good. I wanted to eat the entire thing in one sitting, but the portions are large.

Love the new look! Especially, the chairs and the menu. I have been a regular at Thai in Shirlington since 2018 and almost always been satisfied with the food and services. I went in today and had my regular Panag curry. It tasted different today. I also tried the fried rice and appetizers and it was all delicious. I hope you guys will bring back the old Panag curry recipe. It was one of the best in town.
