We had another excellent experience at Ray’s last evening. We were lucky to get the table at the front which worked well for the three of us. The service was of its usual high standard and our three starters and mains were very tasty and all off the specials board. We will be back.

Food was good, good atmosphere. Although all the waitresses were very polite and all very helpful, I’d recommend 1 waitress to a set few tables instead of various waitresses all trying to look after all tables. This is where it all got confusing. Overall would recommend.

We picked up a takeaway Margherita and Prosciutto Crudo. It was the best pizza I’ve ever had, highly recommend and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area.

The place is closed between 4pm and 5:30pm and we were passing by craving for a cup of tea at 4pm, not realizing the opening times, we entered and we were not sent away, rather welcomed very warmly by a fantastic lady. Had a wonderful short time having tea, coffee and some sweets (Italian cookies filled with pistachio cream and scone). The place looks great and if we’ll have another chance surely will return for a dinner too.
The Italian sweets filled with pistachio cream are fantastic, just like in Florence.

We loved dining at Ray’s so much that we went twice during our week-long holiday in Milford on Sea. Lovely staff made us feel very welcome and the food was consistently excellent! Each dish is displayed beautifully and everything tastes so fresh and full of flavour. The decor is very stylish and the way the tables and booths are laid out, you can have a private dining experience even if the restaurant is busy. I would recommend their spicy diavola pizza and an espresso martini!

We have been coming here for a few years now when we visit my Mother. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in the village, especially as my husband is coeliac and the chef is very well up on what can and can’t be eaten. You would think that all chefs are, but in our experience, this has not always been the case! We can always rely on Karl

We chose Rays for our weekly date night. Very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Rays has an authentic feeling and you could tell the food was made with love. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the courtyard. We will definitely be back.

Nice vibe but the food was substandard. Arancini arrived uncooked (fridge cold in the middle) which was replaced. This could have been a one off so happy to have the replacement 15 mins later which was cooked. The pizza appeared to have been made on a bought in crust. It was thin, but had zero crust. Very pale in colour and bordering on soggy. Flopped over when you tried to pick it up. The penne pasta came warm but not hot and soft as it was over cooked so obviously been precooked and warmed. It also had a breadcrumb mixture on it to substitute for parmesan Im guessing which didn’t work. Overall nice place, nice people but the food was not close to the mark.
