The food was amazing. The friendliness of our server was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed my Alfredo and the churrasco was flavorful and tender. We will definitely will be returning soon!!

With so many options to eat in Orlando and specially In the area were this restaurant is located I don’t see why would anyone come back here. I came on a Saturday evening to eat with my family and the place was completely empty, however I was told that everything was reserved, but since I was just coming to eat with the family that they could help me out.
To start I had the street corn which were extremely disappointing. They tasted like pure mayo with nothing else.
The mango margarita was pretty tasty.
For dinner I ordered the steak tacos. They had no flavor and it was just unseasoned steak with pepper and melted cheese. The runner that brought it to us didn’t even know they were tacos (because they don’t look like it). Terrible. I told the server I didn’t like it and nothing was done (even tho she said she asked the chef who she said he’s Mexican and the chef itself said that I was right that those weren’t real tacos).
My mom had the bandeja paisa which she also said it was just ok.
Overall this place is as basic as it gets and I don’t recommend.

I had an awesome dining experience here at La Petrona. Long day at work & needed a healthy scrumptious meal option at nearly 8pm. The salmon salad I ordered to go looked so delightful I ate it right then & there. It was so delicious I forgot to take a photo, but trust me it was incredibly delicious & this is coming from a person who is a major food critic. Then the drinks, perfecto! I ordered the mezcalita (also not posted) & the margarita flight, unbelievable! Bursting with flavors. The drinks & food portions were a great size & very fulfilling. Great family atmosphere & great place to unwind & relax after a long day!

I’m not even sure where to start. My family and I decided to celebrate NYE here, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. From the service to the drinks and food, everything was disappointing. They clearly didn’t have enough staff, so we had to walk to the bar ourselves to order drinks, which was not only inconvenient but also unpleasant. The bar area was dirty, and to top it off, two margaritas cost $49—absolutely ridiculous!
As for the food, it was not worth the $75 price tag. The quality was subpar, and the presentation was poor. It was nothing like what we expected when we made a reservation for such an important occasion—the last day of the year. I was hoping for great service, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I deeply regret spending my money here and will not be returning.
I really hope that next time they organize an event like this, they get their act together. It felt like they were more focused on taking money from customers than actually delivering a quality experience. I will definitely not be back.

Visited La Petrona for the second time tonight. There was an “event” that to them merited charging a $10 cover charge. What a disaster! There has been a change of ownership and the place has gone down hill. The DJs brought in only cared to play the music they enjoyed. It was evident that they missed the mark by the fact that no one was dancing. Get it together. Bring back the old style.

Visited here during our family holiday to Orlando. We were the only ones in to start with, we were maybe a little early, but the restaurant started to fill up as we were leaving. My son asked for a Fanta which they didn’t have but he suggested to try a different drink and if he didn’t like it he could choose something else. However my son loved it!! We all enjoyed the food and said the nachos were the best of the holiday, we tried a lot of different nachos!!!! Overall a lovely meal and great dining experience.

My family and I had planned a New Year’s Eve celebration at this venue, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. The planning was abysmal, and the DJ, who was also in charge of social media and text messages, was incredibly incompetent. When we asked him a question, he would respond by sending us pictures of the advertisement, which was misleading because it didn’t provide all the necessary information. He didn’t mention any additional fees beyond the $75 per ticket we had to pay.
The service was equally disappointing. We ordered our dinner at 10 p.m., but it arrived at 11:30 p.m. This was because we had threatened to leave and demand a refund, which they refused. We were a large group, and there were only two headbands and two hats that said “Happy New Year” available. When we asked for more, we were told, “You get what you see on the table!”
Some of us had to go to the bar to buy drinks because the only two servers were nowhere to be found. They only had premade drinks available. The Margarita I ordered was absolutely terrible.
