What a find! Absolutely delicious donuts: perfect cakey moist texture, wonderful flavor and plenty of sweetness without being cloying (natural sweetness, not artificial at all). Even the non gluten-free family members were very impressed! You cannot tell it’s gluten-free. Many items were vegan or dairy- or egg-free. We had the Maple and the chocolate with vanilla icing. So good. Will try some savories next time, too. Definitely worth a visit!

Lady at the counter was nice and super helpful. I told her that we drove quite a distance to check out their GF bakery since we have none close by and my kid has Celiac. She recommended a few other GF establishments that were near by that she recommended. We got their GF ham, cheese, and bacon sandwich among other pastries. It had more of a croissant texture and tasted delicious! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Thanks for the good experience.

My maple donut was lovely. The cinnamon roll was flavorless, undercooked & heavy- unfortunately inedible. It’s hard to do gluten free items. I didn’t try anything else. Perhaps the other choices would have been more delightful.

As a gluten sensitive person it’s hard to travel a find something safe and delicious to eat. Melinda’s is amazing! I had an incredible cheddar ham and bacon sandwhich and a maple donut that were to die for. Both don’t bother my stomach at all and both were just incredible!

Finally got a chance to visit today. Should have gone sooner! Best gluten free bread i have had. Almond claw was amazing and the pastry on the ham and cheese was flaky and perfect! Very friendly service. I so appreciate having this option close to home. I will be back. Thank you!

This place is fantastic!
As somebody who has been gluten free for about 2 years now, I have visited a number of restaurants and bakeries that claim to cater to the gluten-free crowd. This is the best tasting bakery I have encountered. In addition, the staff took the time to talk to us and to the other customers about what would meet our needs both in store and for baking at home. It is too bad we live too far away to go once because it would become my new home away from home. I love it!

Found through the “Find Me Gluten Free” app — love this gem of a bakery in Santa Cruz. The team here was very kind — appreciated the samples of the cinnamon roll and brownie available to visitors. The hot sandwich options were a lovely surprise — tried the Turkey with havarti and the vegan veggie (contradictory selections for sure). Also grabbed some puff pastry goodies (bear claw, chocolate croissant, and morning glory muffin). The team member recommended some of the vegan versions of these selections — it was a welcome perspective. Overall, the creations are delicious — very surprised by the crunchy outside texture and the chewy/moist centers. The brownies were a bit too dense for my taste and the cinnamon roll a bit too chewy, but it is definitely worth the visit. Prices felt a bit high, but understand that cost to create gluten free treats is rising — just don’t expect this to be an inexpensive outing.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Watsonville after finding it on the Find Me Gluten Free app which gave it high reviews. Not sure if they have a consistency problem and we came on the wrong day or if this is normal. We really wanted to like the food and don’t want to bash anyone trying to do gf but we were so disappointed. I’ve been baking for my gf spouse for 30 years now so I know it’s challenging. We each ordered a sandwich and then got two pastries and coffee. Was a little disappointed that the sandwiches aren’t made fresh on real bread but reserved judgement for when we ate the premade ones that were in the heated display case. The “sandwich” was made with some sort of puff pastry but was very extremely dry and crunchy. My jaw literally ached after eating it. The meat and cheese had great flavor but again the pastry ruined the sandwich. An hour later we tried the almond croissant. Same problem, the pastry was super dry and crunchy but the filling was delicious. I will say their coffee was excellent wished I had gotten the large! It was a lot to pay for gf food of this quality.

I recently purchased for the first time, a gluten free sour dough roundloaf.
I was happy and excited to try it.
At home, I was disappointed that there was ZERO flavor of Sour. $12.00
Plus, the bread seems not thoroughly baked on the inside. It’s golden on the outside.
I realize that Gluten free bread will be softer, but it just seems not thoroughly baked.
I slice it and put it in the toaster oven.
I will purchase my next gluten free sourdough round at a different bakery to compare. Hopefully, it will have the Sour flavor and a more baked inside.
I purchased a gluten free donut, and that was good.

I can’t say enough about this gem near the coast .. My absolute favorite Gluten-Free bakery with Vegan options as well. They have limited hours and are popular, so go early to ensure you get your pick of all the sweet and savory treats! The maple doughnut and ham and cheese croissant are a must! These folks work so hard-tip them well!!!
