I love this place but 75% of the time they’re out of items, especially the Ube.

Stopped by Kyo Matcha for a quick dessert and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The matcha mousse cake had a smooth, creamy texture with a rich chocolatey crust and a well-balanced and not-too-sweet flavor. Super satisfying.

I recently ordered a Grapefruit Guava Green Tea from Kyo Matcha (Champaign) and unfortunately there was a seed in it. I almost choked, which was quite scary. I hope the team takes this seriously and improves their filtering and preparation process.

We loved all of the desserts here! They are not overly sweet, and you can taste the other flavors mixed in well!

The matcha was strong, good quality, and had a fresh taste while the ice cream was delicious and not too sugary.

WAY TOO MUCH ICE!!
2 out of 5 because I’m very disappointed by the amount of ice. I paid over 9 dollars for a matcha drink and it’s 80% of ice as the picture shows. The ice cream is good and is supposed to neutralize with the unsweetened matcha. However I can’t even put my straw in due to the insane amount of ice… there wasn’t an option for less ice when I ordered fyi

Flavor and taste as good as always. This place is slightly overpriced compared to other boba shop on campus but the quality is guaranteed.

I had the hojicha latte float (roasted green tea). The ice cream was very good, smooth and creamy but the latte itself was bland. Hojicha was too sweet and had very little tea flavor. Ice cream was hojicha and black sesame flavored, it melted before I could really get a taste of it on its own. This drink was very expensive at $8.50 and substitute milk was $1.25 for about 2 ounces of milk. Would have tried some sweets, but they were almost all over $10.

Service was okay, I went close to the opening date so it was quite busy. Our order took about 15 mins. The store is very warm, could use A/C.

Went in on Valentines Day for a last minute treat. We were all new to the place. We all either tried the Lavender Matcha or the matcha soft serve. I thoroughly enjoyed the drink, and most people enjoyed the ice cream (only ones who didn’t were the ones who aren’t used to Matcha… it is an acquired taste I suppose). I appreciated the matcha being on the sweeter side. It was however on the pricier side, and the service took a long time, considering it wasn’t too busy. But we’d definitely come back.
