Let me review for you!
This place used to be called another restaurant but for the life of me, I cannot recall….anyways, food took a while to come out dish by dish. This was only the negative part, other than that, amazing flavor and aroma that excites the eyes and stomach. All the dishes has their own unique taste. Even dessert was decent, most places are cheap in quality, but our dishes were made with emphasis to make a lasting impression to remind you to cone back try other plates on your next visit.

This restaurant has taken the place of Thai Nakorn in Garden Grove. Being that it was Thai Nakorn there were some big shoes to fill. But fill them they did!

The servers are super friendly and greet you straight away. We asked what the popular dishes are and she was able to name several off the menu. We chose from her recommendations and were not disappointed.

The restaurant itself is large and spacious. Plenty of room to bring large gatherings. The restaurant was also very clean and neatly decorated.

The food. That’s what it’s all about. The food. I loved all the legit Thai food flavors as they transported me back to Thailand. Not only were their flavors spot on but the way they plate is a-mazing! I felt like I was eating art!

I understand why they names themselves “exquisite,” because they are! Run don’t walk and check them out!

I came here twice now and so far each experience has been very good. The staff has all been friendly and the atmosphere of there restaurant is very soothing inside. The drunken noodles I had were okay, but a bit too oily for my tastes. The coconut jelly dessert is very well made and very pretty, but the flavor is just okay. However, I love their take on mango sticky rice, which is visually stunning and it offers a wide array of textures and flavors to make for a well-remembered dessert. The dessert chef also came out to greet us and was very pleased customers enjoyed her work. When I go back next time I’ll try some of their other savory dishes.

Pictured: Pad Thai w/ shrimp ($16+$8), Fried Fish w/ Mango Salad ($25), Green Curry w/ chicken ($16+$4)

“Thai Nakorn” which my family frequented for 5+ years has been replaced by Mother Tew’s.

The dining room has been remodeled to look more elegant and the food followed suit, with the addition of garnishes of presumably edible flowers. They play overly loud pop EDM to accompany your meal, maybe to distract you from realizing that their portion sizes are noticeably smaller, and their prices now resemble modern fusion pop-up restaurants.

I wanted to give them a chance, but our family won’t be back. Although the food all tastes decent, I still have a bitter taste in my mouth when I found out they charged $8 to add shrimp to my $16 pad thai that only had 3 shrimp.

Mother Tews in garden grove is elevating Thai cuisine with their stunning desserts and dishes. Their presentation is impeccable an portions are great to share. My favorite dish is their $25 fried fish with mango salad. Look at how big the fish is. It is fried perfectly light and crispy and topped off with a thai salad the combination is definitely a a must try. I got their beef tongue too. It is so goood. Thick cut and super tender and really yummy dipped in their spicy sauce. They also have stunning desserts. Presentation is amazing here and good for large parties.

I also tried their coconut soup and khao soi noodles also coconut milk based. I felt these were lacking in flavor.

Mother Tew’s is a authentic delicious new Thai restaurant in Garden Grove- right across from the Garden Grove Hospital.
The combination fried rice, chicken satay, shrimp rolls, the jumbo water prawns were the best dishes. Second favorite was chicken pad Thai wrapped in scrambled egg!! Mango sticky rice was absolutely perfect

Mother Tew opened a few weeks ago at this site which was closed for a while. Dishes are trying to be authentic Thai. Pad see ew was done quite good with wok smoke taste present. Tom yam Koong was a bit lacking in richness. I think they made it without the head on shrimp. The grilled tongue should have been cut smaller with more grill marks to bring out the beefy flavor. There is enough parking in front of the restaurant.

Mother Tew’s Exquisite Thai Cuisine is an Asian Fusion Restaurant in Garden Grove. Yesterday my wife and I went there to eat dinner. They have a moderately large space where they can easily accommodate up to 60 or 70 people. They also have a medium-sized banquet hall where any social events can be arranged. The ambience of this place was cool, intimate, and romantic. The staff was nice and polite. However, we had both bad and good experiences. The only negative thing about this place was their service. Yesterday their service was super slow. We checked in at 7:55 PM and we had to wait around 10 minutes to order food. And then again, we waited around an hour to get food!!! When we asked them regarding their delayed service, they told us that they are understaffed, there’s a banquet and most of them are serving there (we were literally upset and about to leave the place but later changed our mind)!

This Thai place has a lot of positive things as well. They served one of the finest Thai Cuisine that we tried so far in Southern California. We ordered Shrimp Egg Rolls, Chicken Satay, Fried Rice with Chili, Basil & Chicken, Drunken Noodles with Beef, and Mango Sticky Rice. The food was amazingly fresh, delicious, decorated, and cooked with perfection! The meat (both Chicken and Beef) was well cooked, and the spice level was moderate. Previously I have eaten Thai food at a bunch of Thai places but most of the time I experience heartburn lately because of the spice but this time I didn’t have such experience. And last but not the least, their desserts are simply so good! We liked all the items we ordered but Mango Sticky Rice was the game changer. It was tantalizingly delicious and beautifully decorated. We later came to know that the Chef of this place used to work at a 5 Star Hotel, and he has already shown the sign of that delicacy through the food as well as the decoration. A big thumbs up to the Chef for his nice work. The price seems alright considering the quality, amount, and decoration of the food. Hopefully we will come back to this place again in near future expecting their service would be way better at that time!
