Ristorante Stefano’s Fine Italian Dining is open six days per week, and every day, several members of the Stefano family can be found working together in the kitchen to bring an authentic taste of Italy to their patrons. With a 45-year history as an Italian food chef in both New York and New Jersey restaurants, Stefano Sr. opened his own pizzeria 25 years ago in Pompton Plains.

Finally came to eat at this place. Went ther with my sister and husband. Thought the food was good, the ambiance was great. They seemed to just have a party that was clearing out. We called the day before to make a reservation and they said it wasn’t needed,but when we got there they said we had to wait 15-20 to sit. It didn’t take long but, was thrown off by it. I enjoyed my filet de sole franchese, my sister for a parpadelle Bolognese, and hubby got a lasagna. Also had some fried zucchini for an appetizer and had to get a dessert as they brought them out for the visuals on the cakes but i got a pistachio gelato that was banging! Def wouldncome back for a second round! 🙂
We did see that they have a pizzeria attached which i thought was a neat way to do fancy and chill delicious Italian food. Also realized they are def that sweet sensation secret door dash side kitchen. So excited, the pizzera was welcoming, we checked it out after we ate at the restaurant. Looked like a cute spot to have a good dinner. There was a cute outside may come for a dessert and coffee or hang outside one day.

My daughter had a large group of friends celebrating her birthday at Stefano’s, and the entire experience was wonderful. The owner worked closely with me to make sure the food and seating setup were exactly what we needed. He was transparent about everything, incredibly accommodating, and truly attentive to making the night go smoothly.
The girls loved the food, especially the Penne Vodka, which was the girls favorite. Cesar salad they said was delicious. The service was top-notch from start to finish, and the girls left happy, full, and already talking about how great everything was.

My partner and I made the great decision to stop by this fabulous establishment on Sunday night and enjoyed an outdoor dinner. Food was delish! We had the chicken caprese, dolce burger and an incredible salad. Service was perfectly paced and attentive! We then shared the best cannoli we have had since our visit to Sardegna! This is a special little gem and we will definitely return.

We hosted a private party for my daughter’s baptism in the large dining room. We had about 50 adults and 10 kids. The room was plenty big, food was outstanding (so many guests commented on it as they hadn’t been there before), and we added the gelato bar/cart which was a hit for adults and kids alike. The owners were very accommodating and made the process easy, yet executed perfectly. I couldn’t recommend it more. We plan to host many future parties there going forward.

Had a wonderful meal last night. Started with fried calamari which was perfect, lightly breaded tender and fried to perfection. My husband had veal Parm which was tender and delish. I had a chicken special – chicken Frangelica. Chicken breast stuffed with broccoli, roasted peppers and cheese served over bucatini in a light cream sauce with mushrooms. So good! For desert we had a pistachio ricotta cake. So light and delicious. Will definitely be going back for our next special occasion! Thank you Lu for the great service!

Our favorite Italian place in the area. Kitchen is so good you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu . The staff, so welcoming and friendly while super attentive. I feel like they have something here for everyone… the desserts are really good too … try the gelato.. many flavors but my personal favorite, chocolate chip cannoli.

The Stefanos online ordering system allowed me to order a dinner for Christmas Day to pick up on the 25th. Even confirmed the order with me online.
Christmas day went to pick up order at restaurant. Restaurant closed!
Upon calling today (Saturday) and explaining what happened that wrecked our Christmas dinner, they gave us a measly 10% off order we placed. My shrimp scampi had FIVE shrimp and more noodles than a human could eat in days. What??
We have eaten at this restaurant frequently over the years, but their careless attitude and lousy meal preparation will have us dining elsewhere.

I enjoyed a little bit of everything as I was there after a funeral for a full 5 course meal. With respect for the delicious food, the wait staff executed a room full of guests Flawlessly and without interference. The overall experience for any group, even a solemn one, is Excellent!
