The view from the restaurant is incredible and the inside is upscale and prepares you for an incredible dining experience but that’s not what was had. We sat outside, which was gorgeous! Ordered the bacon bites as the app, they were unique, very good. I had the Lobster bisque soup, very enjoyable. For my entrée I had the $52 New York Strip (mr). It came out rare. I typically don’t send my food back but this was a bit too rare, even for me. Came back still a bit rare but edible for me. The service was good and very understanding and attentive. As a steakhouse, you live and die by your steak and at for $52 for a NY Strip, it better be right the first time. It wasn’t and there wasn’t much flavor to it, no reason it should be $52. The wine was good, good selection of beer and some unique cocktails. If this establishment could fix its inconsistent cooking and/or be reasonably priced it would score higher.

Food was excellect! Our server, very nice young lady, however the presence of some staff (manager possibly) was annoying, just seemed to stand around leaning on the wall and was staring at customers. He was very loud when visiting with customers and the acoustics are aweful. His loud talking was deafening to the point it was hard to hear table mate. We were asked by 3 different people within 5 minutes how everything was going. Sorry, thanks for asking but we are also trying to eat and enjoy our company. Our server took care of us nicely. What’s with all the staff?

The servers are amazing, friendly, and just all around great people! McGregors is our favorite, anytime, any day! Pricing is so reasonable compared to other places in town. 10 stars if we could!!! My wife and I enjoyed the cheese curds as an appetizer. The drink special was good. I had the ribeye with mashed potato and Brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked like I ordered it however the steak and brussel sprouts had way too much pepper on it. I love brussel sprouts but I could not eat them over the amount of pepper. It really took away from the dinner. The mashed potato’s were really good. My wife had the fried chicken. Sadly it was way over cooked as you can see in the picture. Maybe an off night for the cook. We live nearby and will try again.

Wouldn’t let me give 3.5. Ribeye was perfect. Jalapeno margarita was overdosed on Jalapeno. Huckleberry mule was good.. Fish tacos batter was over cooked, but fish was moist. Brussel sprouts I liked, wife didn’t. Chipotle with cheese curds was a bit too warm. Service was good.

Ordered a sirloin Medium Rare. Came out raw, sent it back and it came out burnt. The waiter did not even hang around when he returned the steak, I think he knew it was bad. When he came and asked at the end of the meal (that was not consumed) even when told it was horrible did not have a manager or anyone else come to the table. We have had bad experience here before but decided to give it another shot as menu and prices have changed but alas it still the same.

We LOVED it! From the Signature Bacon Bites and Wisconsin Cheese Curds apps…to my Mountain Cristo sando with coleslaw..it was just fabulous. The hot pepper bacon jam that was served with the Mountain Cristo was a party in my mouth. Fresh made creme brule was a hit, as well. Good atmosphere and perfect, friendly service. So happy this restaurant is finally being managed properly.

The food was delicious. I gave it 3 stars for high price and minimal quantity. While the mushroom Swiss burger was very good, it was not worth $25 dollars. It was medium size, and had about 12 fries. The fries were exceptionally good but there should have been at least double the amount of fries for the very high price. My salad was delicious as well. As soon as we got home my son said he was hungry (after spending over $10 on a kids meal, which he ate every last drop of). We left hungry.
