Red Lobster In Geneva To Close Amid Bankruptcy: Report – Patch
Reviews
I asked for Prosecco, and the waitress said no more available.
Food was tasty – I had lobster, shrimp tacos.
Service was so so for our table, but the other table had attentive very nice waitress.
We had reservation for Schaumburg location. We wanted to watch a football game, no prob, hostess was amazing. Had an amazing seat where we can watch the TV on all angles… BUT this must be the WORST server we had ever had in our lives…
When we arrived, she was taking her time with a very nice couple. So, I thought, “Ah, we will have a what seems to be, a nice waitress/server”… NOPE, quite the contrary!
We experienced a waitress named, Ann, who made us feel like feel so bad, she had so much attitude, we felt discriminated, I am up at 3:30am writing this review. My experience to share:
My daughter who has Special Needs wanted Mac and Cheese and has to tell me what she wants so I can speak for her… Ann refused to take in the order and said we have to order drinks first and that “she has other customers”. (With a rude tone). I explained that my daughter needs urgent attention and that I can order after her. She said it comes with sides and Ann couldn’t or WOULDN’T just tell me what my daughter’s options were. Instead, she rudely said, it’s there in the menu?! (Again, with that tone! ). Right then, I knew, I had to ask for the manager.
Well, she seemed to have the manager debriefed with her version only. I asked for his name, Bill. And he repeated what she said, “We have other customers here.” Did not asked what happened on the clients’ end. Just concluded that he only need to hear from his team. No apologies. Kind but not satisfactory.
Well, if his team was more of that, then, Red Lobster Corporate, your customer care ship is going down.
However, there was Cathy (who took time to say hi) and Rachel who we had good to great dining experiences in this and other establishments before. And they are soon to lose Rachel because she is moving away. Ironically, to a state where we are destined for our next vacation.
Hope you find more quality ppl. Red L.
Emphasis on Special Needs kids needs are to be handled with great care and understanding. To wait on tables is a beautiful task when one knows how to do it with grace.
Thanks for hearing us out in advance in behalf of Special Needs community/Invisible Disabilities/Selective Mutism.

(Took me 1.5 hours to pour my heart out on this one review, but now at least I have vented.)
The food is tasty and the portions are big, the atmosphere is “almost” romantic, a little expensive but worth it.
