The Chicken Salad is hands down the best I’ve had in Cincinnati, perfectly creamy, not too heavy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients (I heard they source local/Amish produce, and it shows). I paired it with their Potato Leek soup, which was equally incredible.
It’s rare to find a place that nails the simple things so perfectly. If you are in the Sharonville/Fields Ertel area, do not drive past this place. It is a total gem.

What a hidden gem! Fantastic, friendly service and a wide selection of options for everyone. Happy to see a few vegetarian items on the menu. I got the egg & cheese sammie with potato salad and will be back to try the egg salad and pimento cheese, and the broccoli salad side! Classic diner vibes and plenty of seating make this a great stop for quick lunch or takeout.

I ordered the Italian sub with coleslaw, pasta salad, and potato salad as sides. All of the food tasted fresh and delicious. The bread on the sandwich, in particular, was REALLY good. It reminded me of the taste and texture of an Olive Garden breadstick, but better. I loved that the sides were all reasonably priced, too, which allowed me to try more.

I travel for work and I gotta say these folk are some of the friendliest staff I’ve encountered. Made me feel welcomed and like a regular. Seeing so many people come in and they were going by first name basis with their customers, I knew this place was special. Food tastes fresh and was delicious. I love how every week it’s something different for the chefs special. You can feel the pride from the staff and it’s awesome. Keep up the great work:)

We were out at an appointment and were looking for something different from where we live. My wife loves sandwiches and Googled restaurants near where we were. We seen the Chefs Cafe come up and advertised “world famous chicken salad” and sandwiches. So we ventured there and it was in an old looking strip type center by a gas station and laundromat. From the outside, we could have driven by and never given it a second glance but we are SOOOO glad we stopped in. The young lady at the register was beyond helpful, kind and even gave us samples of the chicken salad. I even asked the gentleman that was working behind her making sandwiches what he liked and he was also very inviting and helpful. He even commented on what we were already thinking . We were trying to decide between two sandwiches, the famous chicken salad and the pastrami Ruben. He said get one of each and share (we do this a lot) so we did. When he brought us the order, he even nicely cut each sandwich in half and placed one of each on our plates with our side that came with the order. We chose the broccoli salad as it looked good. The bread looked like either they made it or a real bakery did and was delicious. The chicken salad came on a perfect croissant and Ruben on fabulous rye bread (which you can actually buy and take home). The chicken salad was indeed very good and the Ruben was different than let’s say a IZZY’s but was excellent and would buy it again every time I would go. The only downside to this place is it is an hour or so from our house

Wow!! I was in the sharonville area, and typed in lunch near me…this was close so I thought I’d give it a try. I was greeted immediately on entry by both of the owners. They were both friendly and helpful telling me about the menu items!
I ordered the special of the day (roast beef wrap). It was served warm with some amazing roast beef peppers onions lettuce and some cheese.
The taste was delicious but what I really liked the most about it was that it wasn’t this huge obnoxiously size ramp that nobody could ever eat. Instead they charged a fair price and gave me a good amount of food. It came with a side, and I selected the cucumber, tomato mozzarella salad that was in a balsamic dressing…the side was so good I could have just eaten that as a meal!
My order came together very quickly (2 minutes maybe), tasted outstanding and overall I would come here again.
I got my order to go, but you can dine in, in the low key, laid back, diner type setting. Dining room was nothing special, but a place to eat nonetheless!!

This place does it right ..in today’s economy it’s hard to find people who truly love what they do and it shows in their work. The food is top tier. The hospitality is top tier. If you are in town, it’s worth the drive. It’s a place you will want to keep coming back over and over again. Don’t look past this gem in Cincinnati. To be treated like family to eating top tier sandwiches it doesn’t get much better than chefs cafe !!

One of the best Subs in Cincinnati. Had the Joe’s Royal Sub everything was super fresh and the bite melted in your mouth with a very consistent bite. Great ambiance, upbeat music, plenty of seating, friendly staff, and plenty of parking.

I’ve probably taken out food here about 25-30 times now. Every damn time the food is phenomenal. I always get Joes Royal Sub or Ted’s Italian with a side of potato salad or broccoli salad. The food is great, the place is quaint and welcoming, and they even know me by name and have my order up as soon as they see me walk in. I will be sure to continue greeting my work lunches here, and recommending to all my friends!!
