Absolutely loved this spot! I ordered the mocha latte, which was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. We also shared the Biscoff cheesecake—sadly not pictured because we devoured it way too fast. It was creamy, indulgent, and honestly one of the highlights.
The location is super convenient, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe is warm and inviting. Sana’a Cafe continues to deliver on quality and consistency. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
About any of their coffees with cardamom here, I suggest that you don’t do anything to the coffee. When you get it. Simply drink it and enjoy it. I have found that I didn’t need to add anything beyond what the counter had done to it already. No milk. No sugar. Just delightful to drink as it is.
Everyone behind the counter was a joy to interact with. And since this was my first visit, I ask a lot of questions. They provided a lot of informative answers too.
Inside and out the Sana’a Cafe is simply beautiful.
All the tables were kept clean. And the station for to-go orders was kept well stocked with everything you could imagine to adjust your coffee to your liking.
The bathrooms are clean as well. You can send your kids unattended into their bathroom if you desire. They are that nicely kept.
Internet access is very good here. The availability of power outlets less so. But there’s a few to be found.
I was on foot that day so I didn’t have any need to park. But it’s downtown redwood City. So expect your normal parking problems as with any downtown area on the peninsula.
The only thing I really have left to say is, “why didn’t I come in here before”? While talking to the staff I learned there are other Sana’a Cafe locations in the Bay Area. I’m going to be looking up those other locations to see if they’re close enough for any of the stops that I have to make.
I experienced this location on December 4th, 2025.
I heartliy recommend Sana’a Cafe in Redwood City California!
The location is amazing. It’s on 2400 Broadway — can’t get better than this. So many shops and places to walk around in the neighborhood.
Love the water stall. What a nice touch.
So many desserts and sweets.
Just had an American as usual.
I know! There are tons of drinks to choose from the menu.
What can I say; I’m a simple guy.
I’m just here to have some decent coffee after gorging myself with so much foods from Whole Foods.
Absolutely outstanding! The tea here is some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, aromatic, and brewed with real care. The dessert was just as impressive: fresh, beautifully made, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is welcoming, and every detail feels thoughtfully done. I’ve been here twice, you must try the matcha and pistachio teas. This place is a true gem and definitely deserves all five stars. Can’t wait to come back!
The staff are friendly and welcoming specially the girls and the atmosphere feels cozy and traditional. I also loved the desserts, especially the honey cake — it was delicious!
If you’re looking for a place that serves real Yemeni-style coffee and offers warm hospitality, this is the spot. Highly recommend it!
This beautiful cafe just opened up, and we went in excited to try it out. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the aesthetics. We sampled several items, and nearly everything was bland and disappointing. The baklava was hard as a rock and still frozen in the center, the Dubai milk cake looked impressive but tasted just as underwhelming, and even the chai was painfully mediocre.
If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends or go on a casual date, the vibe and ambiance make it a decent choice. But if food/drink is the main reason for your visit, this is not the place. Come for the atmospheren and skip the menu.
