I will be honest I didn’t have an expectation because 4.8 is pretty high for a barbecue joint. Today I parked in the overflow parking, which is to the left to the back of this restaurant because there’s only like three spaces in the front. I got the two meat plate and I gave it four stars for these reasons. The shells and cheese seemed very bland, but luckily I got the Charro beans and I put the juice inside the shells and cheese which spiced it up. The next part is hard for me because I’m a barbecue cooker journeyman. I’m not expecting fall off the bone pork spare ribs but I’m not also expecting chewy ribs. The flavor was there outside texture was there, but that first bite feeling was not there. The bosses were involved with an in-depth conversation with an older couple and I did not want to interrupt. I will go be going back there because the brisket was the showstopper if you look at other reviews, it seems that I’m on the same track as everybody else. I don’t know why they put jalapeños on the plate maybe to put in my shells and cheese who knows ♂️. I also came at the 1:30 PM maybe that was the reason. Man the Brisket was good!!

OMG BY FAR THE BEST BBQ PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! We went here early in the morning today after coming back from Galveston and it waaaaay exceeded past my expectations! We got 2 brisket & eggs tacos(get a little hot sauce to boost the flavor) along with 1/2 lb briskets that we were able to cut without anchoring down with a fork! Soooooo freaking tender and juicy and just glistening in fat! One of the owners had came out and gave us some burn end samples and OMG they were super flavorful and tasty! Will take my family here next time!

Went back for more amazing dishes! One of the owners, Chris, had came out personally and talked to us! Very nice and hardworking man. Showed us a picture of their special Brisket Burger and we HAD to try it and it was sooooo freaking good! Presentation was clean and well thought out! Meat was glistening with fat and the patty was very crispy at the edge and juicy in the center! We also had their 2 meat plate and my gosh it was soooo good! Elotes was creamy and with a hint of lime! Smoked green beans was very smoky but the bacon was a little soggy and can definitely see it was infused during the smoking process. Maybe add some crumbled bacon at the top for some crunch and crispiness! Sausage was crispy at the edges and juicy inside. Ribs are absolutely spot on with the glaze, tenderness, and FALL OFF THE BONE! Absolutely a 10 out 10!

Some of the absolute best BBQ in Galveston County. Veteran/Family owned, the owners and staff are tremendous people who care deeply for the quality of their food and the community they’re in. We’ve eaten here quite a bit since they opened and have yet to order something we didn’t love. Our go-to is the Meat Sweats, more than enough to eat and have leftovers for the next day. Love Driftwood!

Delicious, I’m going to be coming here for my close to home BBQ fix. I got the moist brisket and it tastes amazing, so much seasoning, this is some seriously good brisket. Sampled the sausage and its also delicious and smokey, I think they said it has a garlic and pepper profile.
German potato salad is tasty, the mac and cheese is coated in cheese but not overflowing with cheese. I personally prefer cheesier but other people may like a lighter coating.

Update this place has gone downhill with the quality of everything to the point I stopped going since they messed my orders up the past two times and I called to speak to Chris the owner about what happened but the kid on the phone was stern on not getting him
The dedication to the good bbq is lacking subpar at best now sadly
Awesome veteran owned, you can tell they have passion and dedication to make some of the juiciest moist brisket I’ve ever had!!
The desserts are homemade and you can tell for sure
Them chocolate chip cookies are full of chocolate chips and it’s like a sugar cookie had a baby with a chocolate chip cookie so good
Oatmeal cream pie is heavenly
That bbq sauce they make is some next level stuff I see why they give a 1oz containers of them it also don’t worry they give you as many as you want so don’t be discouraged

Quintessential Texas found here with amazing que and friendly folks. The brisket alone makes Driftwood worth returning again and again but don’t miss the ribs. Most outstanding is their boudin – best anywhere to be found, period. So is the staff – extremely attentive and unmatched with superb customer service. Discounts for military and first responders, too! Get yourself here as soon as you can and meet Luis, Chris and the rest of the staff and this lil gem 🙂

This was an awesome experience. My husband and I splurged some today and ordered “The Meat Sweats” platter that they have. . Everything was beyond delicious. Even the lean brisket was amazing. I can honestly say that as a person that loves sauce none was needed for this meal. It was all so good by itself. We tried the sauce at the end of our visit, it compliments the food very well. For our sides we got the Mac ‘n cheese, smoked green beans and potato salad. I loved that there were no chunks of onions in the potato salad. We will absolutely be back again. Before we left we got to meet and talk to both of the owners. These guys are very down to earth and have a great passion for what they do and it shows in their products.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Driftwood and I can say it was an unforgettable experience , The brisket was absolutely delicious it was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It’s clear that they take great care in preparing their meat. To top it off, their desserts were AMAZING ! Each bite was a delightful treat.
