They are tucked away in a very unassuming building in Duvall. I think this place could use some more advertising and marketing!
The hostess/waitress was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting (apart from some bugs on the windowsill we were seated next to.)
We had a piña colada, fig and prosciutto flatbread, lobster bisque, fried chicken sandwich, and the salmon sandwich. Everything was delicious; the flatbread and fried chicken sandwich being the standouts. The chicken was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and the flavor combinations throughout the meal were beautiful.
The only real negative of our experience were the wait times between each course which were excessive.
I also need to add that while this food is quality and well worth having on occasion- the pricing is… borderline insulting. You jump from appetizers and sandwiches that are between $15 and $20 (high, but not outrageous)… To entrees on the next page that are well over $40 a plate. Even as high as $70 for a steak. This is exorbitant and even more than Toulouse Petite in Seattle! I don’t know how you calculate shrimp and grits at $45 but, at that price, I’ll never find out.
Their dinner menu is fabulous but let’s talk about Taco Tuesday. Four tacos and a drink for $20 is such a solid deal, and the food is fantastic. The vibe is easy-going whether you’re sitting right at the bar or grabbing one of the bar tables. There’s a TV usually with sports on, and it just makes for a really fun and relaxed evening. Quick, tasty, and affordable—and my favorite tacos in town!
A tip: Flavor Bistro is right on Main Street, but you do have to walk down a long hallway to get there. Don’t let that fool you—it’s worth it, and honestly, part of the charm. They also do a great brunch and have a super easy-to-use website.
Clive is a great guy with amazing food, and you should definitely go out of your way to support him and his restaurant.
I was surprised to see the dining room empty on a Friday night, and I strongly encourage the community to support our local businesses. .
Flavour Bistro is a hidden gem, offering a chill atmosphere and exceptional cuisine, thanks to the talent of chef Clive. The menu is impressive, with unique, fresh, and delicious dishes. And you can tell he puts his heart into every dish. The service was also friendly and excellent.
I highly recommend showing this establishment more appreciation and supporting our local businesses in general.
The waitress/bar tender knew her stuff and made a really good “London Mist”. Its a take on “London Fog” with whipped egg whites. Very nice.
The fries are worth raving over. Super crispy and hot.
The rest of the food is good too.
I had dinner at Flavour Bistro and ordered the short ribs, apple blossom dessert, and the coconut curry soup from the $50 Prix Fixe menu. They were all delicious, and I love how each dish had delightfully unexpected flavors.
Not pictured is the Island Mule that was really refreshing. ( I unfortunately inhaled it before remembering to snap a pic. )
This is the first time I’ve been in for a while, so it was cool to see the new lighting in the dining room. It really looks beautiful!
