The decoration and vibe are amazing—walking in feels like stepping back into the 1900s. The sushi was absolutely delicious, and the warm welcome from the staff made us feel right at home.
Combined with the unique atmosphere, it turned into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

The setting is very special as the restaurant is inside of a house. The food is pretty good, especially the tempura.

We had the sashimi combo A along with the tempura udon. We preferred sockeye salmon but I believe we got the Atlantic one instead.

There is also lots of parking available in the lot outside of the restaurant.

Recently moved to Pitt Meadows and came across this restaurant online when looking for sushi restaurants nearby. Was very surprised by the food and prices. Me and my boyfriend had dinner there last Friday and the food was DELICIOUS, service was very fast and the atmosphere of a historic house gave us the idea of traditional homemade food which we loved! Their prices are very reasonable! I definitely recommend this place for anyone who love sushi!

Akasaka in Pitt Meadows offers a delightful Japanese dining experience where presentation and ambiance truly stand out. The restaurant is located in a small, cozy house with a fireplace, providing a very friendly and homely atmosphere. With only 4 to 5 tables, it feels intimate and personal, almost as if you’re dining in someone’s home. It’s assumed that the top floor is residential, which adds to the unique charm of the place.

The presentation of the dishes at Akasaka is nothing short of impressive. Each plate is a work of art, meticulously arranged to please both the eyes and the palate. The vibrant colors and thoughtful garnishes enhance the overall dining experience, making each dish as visually appealing as it is delicious.

The quality of the food at Akasaka matches the high standards set by the restaurant’s ambiance and presentation. The flavors are authentic and fresh, providing a true taste of Japan. However, it’s worth noting that the pricing here is relatively high compared to its contemporaries. Despite this, they do offer a decent lunch special, which provides good value and allows diners to enjoy their exquisite cuisine at a more affordable price.

For those in Pitt Meadows looking for a restaurant that offers great food in a beautiful and cozy setting, Akasaka is the perfect choice. The combination of excellent presentation, a wonderful vibe, and the option of a well-priced lunch special makes it a standout destination for Japanese cuisine

Great sushi and always fresh!! I really like this place. I’ve never actually eaten inside but my wife and I get take out quite often. Their food is really consistent so you always know what you’re going to get. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but I’d rather pay a bit extra and get good quality. It’s about a 10min drive for me and I go past about 6 other sushi places on the way so that tells you it’s worth it. In the photos is a dinner box D, wild sockeye sashimi and salmon avocado roll with cucumber which came to a grand total of $57 after tax.

Definitely the go-to for my entire family for sushi in Pitt. High quality at a reasonable price. The takeout is great but eating in is an experience of it’s own. It’s at probably one of the oldest houses in Pitt; the Masson house. Service is great and the surroundings are interesting to look at. I can say that I’ve never been disappointed eating here so yeah, I’m repping the homies.

Such a fun and unique place to dine in Pitt Meadows! Staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious. I love the fact that they operate out of a beautiful heritage home too! Regular customer and can’t wait to go back soon :).

As a family of sushi lovers, we were pleasantly pleased to see several different dishes on the menu. We tried the Volcano and Nigiri combo with a few of our other favorites. The three adults dining were not disappointed. The food was hot and delicious as well as visually appealing. We left pleasantly full with a “note to self” to return for another scrumptious feast in the near future. Location is easy to find with parking available.
