The owner was incredibly wholesome, welcoming and kept us entertained for the evening while he prepared us fresh sushi, which he recommended to us, as we didnt know what to get.
Food was delicious and felt like a break away out of town.
Will be returning and recommend to anyone who wants to try something new
really delicious, freshly made sushi. i got the avocado maki and the roll with palm hearts, cream cheese, and other veggies.
the food was made freshly in the back and came out quickly. i got ginger and wasabi with my meal too.
great for a quick bite or to takeaway. my only regret is that i didn’t get more!!!
We stumbled upon this sushi place and it completely blew us away. The sushi is super fresh and delicious, honestly some of the best we’ve had in Scotland! The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they put their heart into everything. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back if we are in town! 🙂
We can feel the owner and the chef are dedicated to cook awesome dishes in town. Deeply appreciated for the food, the service and the stories shared us, especially on international sushi day (we happened to know it’s today when other customer mentioned it )
We were not fussed and would rather wait so we get something fresh and were allowed to wander around town for 10 minutes until returning where we then sat down in the stools at the window and chatted to the owners who were very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We got the beef Empanadas which my friend from Chile said was like being back at home, a smile came upon his face as he was eating, he hadn’t been in Chile since before Covid and it really made him happy, I had never tried one before but I enjoyed it. It reminded me of a Cornish pasty but with lots more gravy and no potato and was served with a garlic dip. I have been told by someone that they have stopped doing these? I cannot say for sure but if so then that is a shame as they were delicious.
We also had some deep fried chicken sushi that was served with a teriyaki sauce dip. They were really nice and light and were nice enough even without the dip and I will definitely be returning when I have friends visiting the city who love their sushi.
Pricing was more expensive than your standard lunch going to a cafe for a toastie etc but still fair pricing for the actual quantity and quality of the meal. I think the Empanadas were around £7-8 and the Sushi was around £14.
Thank you Sushi Ness for your delicious meal and giving the city something different.
