Awesome place!!! Food was excellent. Dana the bartender made our experience top notch.
We had arrived by boat to Buzzards point marina. The fire department gave us a ride there and the restaurant owner brought us back. Great small town hospitality.
We tried everything Tuna steak, prime rib, lobster, crab cake, oysters, shrimp. Everything was perfect.

With the rain ending for the afternoon and celebrating my 3rd year living here, I took the advice of a dear friend and decided to try Reedville Market. For those of you who have lived here longer you’ll remember this eatery as Tommy’s , currently reopening under the older name for the former General Store here that used to be Reedville Market.
With a setting on the water right on Main Street in the town of Reedville you’re assured nice views. There’s ample parking as well as indoor or outdoor seating for your dining experience. I found the staff alert and attentive, the newer room and the deck tastefully decorated without the corny trappings commonly featured in waterfront restaurants.
The food was presented with a flare and we didn’t wait forever to get our order. Bread quickly appeared without asking as the dining room filled with a range of well mannered devoted clientele. I had the Parmesan encrusted Salmon while my photographer had the Sesame Tuna.. both were very filling and enjoyable. The hot crab dip is a well known offering there and quite rich. Personally I think a different cracker might enhance it, or maybe serve it with several types of crackers ? We had both types of Onion Rings as we try them everywhere to compare them . I tried the crab and roasted pepper soup, which on chilly days hits the spot! The Cesar salad was good without being over seasoned . The serving sizes were ample so you won’t leave hungry.
To sum up ..if you want good food , a great wait staff, combined with a scenic , yes even romantic setting.. you’ll do well to make reservations at the Reedville Market! Try it!
Mike will take good care of you ..

Quite a unique experience. Pretty views from the outside seating area. Waitress had no clue what kind of fish was used on several different entrees. The food was fresh and tasted amazing though.
The meal was going great until the tide starting going out? The horrific odor that filled the air was unbearable. I know its not the restaurants fault but we had to cut things short. Overall I had a great time here. I will definitely return.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I originally ordered a sandwich, but they mistakenly brought me a filet mignon instead. Even though it was their error, and I didn’t realize it right away, they still insisted I pay for the steak, which was much more expensive. I reluctantly paid, but when I expressed that I didn’t want to leave a tip due to the poor service, they told me the tip was mandatory. The service was rude and unprofessional, and to be honest, the food itself was not good either. I would not recommend this place.
Also, the oyster is not very great.
Take a look at their reply and you’ll understand how they treat their customers. I’m changing my rating from two stars to one. I already told them I was willing to pay for the steak, but I wouldn’t pay the tip. I originally ordered a steak, but I had no idea what it was supposed to look like, so when they brought it out, I just started eating. As for the oysters—come on—even if I ordered them and didn’t like them, I’d still eat them. The way this restaurant handled the situation was extremely disrespectful, and not even a single word of apology was offered. If you’re leaving it to the customer to figure out whether the dish is correct, then I have every right to refuse to pay the tip. Btw, I only refused to pay my portion of the tip—not anyone else’s. Absolutely disgusting restaurant.

After our tour to Tangier Island, we looked for a nice place to finally have a beer (dry island). This place did not disappoint. We did not really eat here, but the crab dip was simply out of this world. I had never had pitta bread like these, fluffy, soft and crispy. The pink wine flight was good and the ambience out on the deck, super relaxing. Now, we arrived on a Saturday before 5 PM. The place was literally dead, but by the time we left, almost 6, it had started to get busy. There’s plenty of parking. The service was prompt and friendly. Loved it!

As residents of the Northern Neck, we had never tried Reedville Market Restaurant. For our anniversary dinner, we made the drive from Lottsburg. We were greeted with a family atmosphere and smiles all around. We found the entire restaurant fresh and clean. We were invited to have outside seating, but chose indoor seating with a view. The tables were nicely set with table clause and silverware. We were greeted right away with ice water and bread. Our waitress was generous with her time, and answered questions and explained the menu. She also offered suggestions which was helpful. My husband had a Delmonica steak with sides. I enjoyed the stuffed shrimp with delight. I should have gone for the smaller size as the portion was very generous. As we enjoyed our dinner and conversation, many people were being seated around us. Some sounded very familiar with the restaurant and staff. The bar area filled quickly. With TVs to watch and what appeared as many cocktail selections. We were checked on often. And finished plates were removed from the table. For our convenience a carafe of ice water was left at our table. We felt like the price compared to the food and service was very comparable. Even though it was our first visit there we were treated as a regular. It will certainly not be our last.

Popped in here for some cocktails and nibbles and had a lovely time! The oysters were great and the crab dip and accompanying bread were so good, didn’t even get to snap a pic! Service was also excellent. Will absolutely be back when we are in town!

We had a party of seven today and had reservations. Two people in our group ordered a soda that was not right so they stuck to water through dinner. One person in our group ordered the chicken noodle soup with their meal and it was just broth, no noodles or chicken. We made the waitress aware of the situation and she said “ok?” And walked away. Our food came out and one person in our group ordered the flat bread Peperoni pizza. One piece in the middle was missing and replaced with two crackers with sauce on it and cheese. Again the waitress was notified and she said “ is there anything else? “ And walked away. At the end of dinner we were disappointed and wanted to speak to the manager about these things to make him aware. We politely asked to speak to the manager on duty and the waitress said ok. The waitress came back herself and said she took off the pizza and chicken noodle soup from the bill. That was not the point we wanted to talk to the manager to make him aware and we had questions as to why a piece of the pizza was missing. The manager came out very aggressively and scared a lot of the women at the table. He said “WHAT DO YOU WANT I ALREADY TOOK THIS OFF THE BILL!” We said can you look at this to show him and he took my pizza and picked it up with his bare hands and threw it on the table and stated “ TWO PIECES OF PIZZA FELL IN THE FLOOR SO THEY PUT THE CRACKERS ON HERE TO MAKE UP FOR IT!” Which nobody explained this before and he didn’t offer to make a new piece or pizza in general. We were shocked at the aggressive manager and we decided to pay the bill and leave. So we went to the front to pay and the staff waitress and her other staff were talking about our family. The manager comes out again almost jogging to get into our face and yell “WHATS THE PROBLEM NOW” and I immediately started to shake as I’m a young female and felt very threatened. So my family tried to intervene and an argument started on the manager and staff side and was yelling at us to get out or he was going to call the police. We didn’t understand what he was going to tell the police I’m assuming that their are customers in here who’s food was tampered with and trying to pay their bill? I’m unsure but we asked for his name and he would not give it. We asked to speak to the owner and that’s when the manager was yelling at us to get out. He had a few little girls behind him trying to beef up behind him. It was very unprofessional, we will not be back. I hope you take the time to read this and be careful because it seemed the owner would have gotten physically with a 5’2 female and her family.
