Our group of three hungry folks recently visited the Snack Shop at 395 N Main St in New Madison, OH, and we couldn’t have been more impressed! This cozy little spot definitely exceeded our expectations, and I couldn’t resist sharing our experience.
Atmosphere:
The Snack Shop has a warm, inviting, and down-to-earth vibe that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. It’s a classic small-town diner atmosphere with just the right touch of nostalgia. The dining room was clean, well-organized, and comfortable, with plenty of seating.
Food:
We ordered a feast, and let me tell you, every bite was worth it! We started with a box of fries, which came out hot and crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely addictive. They clearly take pride in making their fries just right – not too greasy and with that satisfying crunch.
The highlight of our meal had to be the double bacon cheeseburgers. These were loaded with juicy, flavorful beef patties and topped with crispy bacon, melty cheese, and all the fixings. The buns were soft and fresh, holding everything together without getting soggy. You could tell they put care into making these burgers, and it shows.
We also tried their pizza, and it was fantastic! The crust had a great balance between chewy and crispy, the sauce was flavorful and tangy, and the cheese was perfectly melted with just the right amount of toppings.
To wash it all down, we had a mix of Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and a Blue Slushie. The slushie was especially a hit – refreshing, vibrant, and a great contrast to the hearty food.
Service:
The staff at the Snack Shop were genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal. It’s clear they value their customers and take pride in making everyone feel welcome.

Stopped in for the first time and it’s a cute little place. The prices are very reasonable for a small town small business. The ice cream was yummy as well as the mini corn dogs. I definitely would come back here again to try other things on the menu 🙂

Haven’t had one bad thing here. Mushroom Swiss burger is always great and I tried my boyfriends Italian sub. Delicious. Called ahead and picked up. Very busy at times but worth the wait if there is one. Fries were great too.

Ordered 7:37pm, was 3-4 cars there. At 8:27pm…we canceled our order of chicken strips and a cheeseburger for a refund! Young kids hustling while two adults standing in back having conversation.

Nice friendly fast service. The cool neon lighting was a pleasure. Prices were fair and menu is large with a lot to offer. My tenderloin sandwich was yummy. Eat there or take it on the go. I use to get fries there and the servings were more than plentiful. So looks like I will be stopping by again in the near future as always thanks

Snack shop use to be a nice place. The lady with short hair that calls herself the manager is rude. She acts like she hates it there and didn’t want to help. Food is over priced which I understand all prices are going up. Pizza and sub quality went down. Barely any toppings. The grill food is a give and take. Sometimes good sometimes bad. They don’t care that you can hear them in the lobby they will talk about anything. The customer is always wrong here.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from the Snack Shop. I stopped here for lunch out of curiosity while working in the area. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. The staff was friendly and the service was decent. The salad was mediocre at best, basically store bought salad mix with some pieces of chicken and croutons. I really don’t think this is the place to go for salad, I’m sure their burgers or sandwiches are much better, I’d come back again.
