I have ordered pizzas (many) from the Oracle Rd. location. They were great! This was my first time ordering from the Houghton Rd. location and I understand the low rating.
I walked in to order a medium pizza. No rush, they had no customers…most employees were just standing around. I wasn’t in a hurry. Waited there patiently for my pizza—
But somehow, from the time I ordered to when I got my pizza they managed to bring me a burnt, cheese-less, waste of time/money.
Nothing like what I expected from Magpies (the Oracle location only—apparently). It was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Sorry, but being transparent.
The workers were at least very nice. But that’s all.

Only reason to give 4 stars is due to limited seating. Didn’t feel like a sit down place, but more of a take out place. However, my wife and I did dine in and I honestly claimed this as the best pizza and wings I’d ever had. The crust was so soft and not charred. Topping were perfect and unique. The sauce was amazing! And then the wings dipped in their ranch were just wonderful. We raved about it the whole time we ate and the whole drive home. I will absolutely go back there again! I’d prefer it over any other pizza chain or restaurant. Great price too.

Stopped here for quick lunch before heading out to eastern Saguaro National Park, which was located about 10 minutes away from the restaurant. Friendly staff took our orders of two medium pizzas and served them to us within 15 minutes. Overall, we were very pleased with both the taste of pizzas and customer service. The restaurant also serves gluten free options.

I ordered two calzones and picked them up around 8pm. My complaint isn’t the customer service because the girl I interacted with was friendly and she very kindly answer the question that I had. I got home with the two calzones and I went to go eat one and there was no Bottom to the calzone. It was melted onto the wax paper or something. The second calzone I ordered looked exactly the same way and it was difficult to eat because everything just fell out. I’ve ordered calzones previously and they never looked like this. They normally taste very good. I’m not quite sure what happened but I paid over 30$ for both. I was a little disappointed that all.

Are you serious? Does Magpie’s not care any longer? Had Door Dash deliver a Beast pizza. It arrived piping hot 36 minutes later and we are 15 minutes from the restaurant and the driver stopped to pick up beverages on the way. The pepperoni is burnt, as is the bacon, salami and cheese. Cheese on a pizza should not have a crunch, nor should it be brown. It was obviously an old pizza that was ran through the oven again. Exact texture of reheating pizza in an oven at home, but worse. I feel that this is part of the “delivery syndrome” restaurants use to get rid of old orders. They don’t think we’ll notice if they give us subpar food and that since it’s delivered we won’t try to return it. I’ve been a Magpie’s customer for years, they need to refund my money and make good on that pizza. And they need to improve their food back to it’s original glory.

I have got 3 orders in the last 2 months, and all 3 orders have been phenomenal. This past order had a picture worthy pepperoni! Since I was a kid I have been coming to the Houghton location. Give them a try my favorite is the Magnificent with extra cheese and well done.

Honestly one of the worst pizzas I have had in a long time. The place was empty on Superbowl Sunday and I thought it was closed when I stopped for my order. Pizza was like shoe leather and did not even look or taste good. I’m shocked how much this place has gone downhill. Hate to say it, but very disappointed….

I gave this place a try due to my coworkers recommending it. I’m an out of towner and needed a new pizza place. I got a pizza with vegan cheese and pineapples and scallions. Flavor wise, it was good. But it was undercooked and so much raw pizza dough.. I couldn’t finish. I now feel sick. So thanks… I will try another location before I completely cancel the entire chain.
