I really love coming here. Great pad Thai, great Thai tea, coconut shrimp, curry, I’m sure it’s all tasty and super authentic. Great price and great service. They also put pretty orchids for decoration. (Took some photos after to go box)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chili Thai, and had an outstanding experience! I loved the Papaya salad — a vibrant and refreshing papaya salad with bit of carrot, tomato, and beans — a delightful explosion of tart and savory flavors! The freshness of the ingredients really shines through, and the service is great!

Best pad thai in kitsap county and Tacoma! I’m specifying this dish because that’s the only thing my husband and I order consistently when we go to thai restaurants. I know I’ve had a better papaya salad before, but the papaya salad here isn’t bad from what I recall. My husband and I always order pad thai at a restaurant and we’ve been too Khao Soi, Sabaidee, Family Thai Cuisine, Thai Charlie’s, Thai Orchard, and a few others, and this is still our favorite for pad thai. Healthy portion size and the noodles are cooked well so there soft but a little firm and there’s a good amount of sauce that’s overall savory but a little sweet. Sometimes we get pad thai and the sauce is so sweet or even has ketchup in it the ambiance is very nice. They usually put a little flour on your plate or in your water. They usually put lemon in the water when they bring it to your table. Only had one bad service experience so it was out of the norm and they were busier than I’ve ever seen them. There were three of use waiting by the register to pick up to go orders. Multiple servers walked up to the register or by us, but no one acknowledged us by saying even, “hi” or, “Sorry! Be with you in a minute!” After 10 minutes of waiting like that, I asked the guy who arrived before me if anyone had said anything to him since he got there, and he said no. I finally just kindly asked, “Are any of the to go orders done?” The guy thanked me for saying something lol. Anyway other that than, dine-in service has been great!

~~UPDATED & NEW FEEDBACK ON THIS RESTAURANT~~
On April 25th, 2024, hubby and I decided to revisit Chili Thai. Four years is a long time, and it was due for an update.
For those unfamiliar with the area, Chili Thai is nestled in the Ross Plaza, a bustling hub just off Silverdale Way. Its location is a convenient spot for locals and visitors to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine, and do a little shopping.
As for the restaurant’s ambiance, it remained unchanged from our previous visit. The interior was clean, tastefully decorated with Thai-inspired decorations. The restaurant had warm and inviting atmosphere.

Our dining experience took an unexpected turn when we were seated right next to a lady who, oblivious to restaurant etiquette and ambiance, decided to have a loud (over the speaker) phone conversation while waiting for her friend. This situation, unfortunately, significantly disrupted our dining experience.
We ordered and could only hold a little conversation ourselves; we tried but were always overdone by the oblivious customer.

Our food arrived, and so did her friend. YAY, two extremely loud people to listen to.

About twenty minutes into our meal, another lady arrived and sat two tables over. Unfortunately, she decided to have a video conversation, which was a distracting, and also rude. While we understand that everyone has different dining preferences or styles, we believe it’s important to respect the shared space.
So, there is my rant, onward to the food.

My hubby had the Cashew Chicken with brown rice. The dish was a colorful mix with the sautéed chicken, cashew nuts, mushrooms, straw mushrooms, baby corn, bell peppers, and onions. The taste was good, but not exceptional, according to my hubby. The chicken was tender, and the cashews added a nice crunch, but he felt that the flavors could have been more pronounced.

I had Chili Thai Noodles. Yellow egg noodles with prawns, BBQ pork, egg, spinach, bean sprouts and green onions. The flavors were there, but I feel it should have been listed under “salad” rather than “noodles”. Yes, It had some noodles, but, if I’m honest, there wasn’t a lot. The dish provided plenty of vegetables, but lacked on quantity as far as the noodles go.

Overall, food experience was good but the atmosphere (due to the people with phones) was distracting and disappointing. I really wish our server would have said something to these people.

Our server was friendly enough, not extremely chatty, but that is ok because I doubt we’d be able to hear anything she was saying due to the mannerism of the insensitive customers.

PLEASE PLEASE for anyone dining, take your calls outside the restaurant or lower your voice, trust me, no one wants to or cares to hear what your saying. And it’s called table manners, not entitlement.

*PLEASE be kind to ALL living things*

Delicious food, service and atmosphere! New favorite!!! They have fresh orchids on the table. We ordered 4 star spicy noodle ke mao and basil chicken and it was Perfect!!! We are the whole thing with a generous portion of rice that came with it. Highly recommend! The service was very good too! Not sure why I haven’t tried here before, but now will be my go to place for Thai.

This place knows what they are doing. Everything we had was full of flavor. Each dish you can taste every ingredient they use. And it’s absolutely delicious. Very clean establishment, and the service is on point. I can’t wait to try their whole menu.

Small place opposite the mall. I like the little places, most of the time it’s the best food. Maybe 12 tables, but hard to count because some were pushed together. I had the chicken Kee Mao (drunken noodle), and it was great! Heat level 3, which might be hot for some because it was just right for me. I ate so much that I could explode and still have another plate for tomorrow. My dinner came out hot and fast. Place is clean, and I saw tables getting cleared as soon as the people got up. Super friendly staff. I think the menu has around 100 items on it to include a special duck Kee Mau just for the holiday. Almost forgot to mention the cute little dishes for soy, hot sauce, and two other things I don’t know what they are.

They also offer, door dash, Uber eats, and grub hub.

If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up.

It was pretty good, great portion, not a lot of chicken. Shelton Thai is still my #1 choice by far

Ordered this from Uber Eats. Aside from receiving cold food (one item was supposed to be hot), the pad thai was awful. The noodles were sticky, the peanuts were ground to a pulp, and it was the worst pad thai I have ever had. The larb salad was also the worst. Its supposed to be finally chopped and there barely any onions among the large chunks of chicken. Flavor profile on both dishes was also off. Will not order again.
